It's not the sound of an actual cash register but the combination of 5 different single sounds: 2 sounds of a printer, once being open and once being closed. A box full of rubbish being shaked, a ratchet and a small bell. Equipment used: akg c214 / focusrite saffire pro24.

The ambiance of the famous strasbourg christmas market, known as one of the oldest in the world (first edition took place in 1570) and the city's biggest touristic event, gathering thousands of people downtown for one month at the end of every year. I took my zoom h2n in different places, capturing a slightly different mood each time. Expect lots of crowd sounds, background music, street atmosphere and. . . It's a supermarket that is a five / ten-minute walk from my house. Although it was a bit crowded, the atmosphere remained very quiet. The file is loopable, recorded with olympus ls-p4 onboard microphones.

This is a recording i got sat outside a retro clothes shop on portobello road in london. Distant music combined with the market and people walking past creates a busy scene with the busy road that runs over the top of the market giving a nice base to fill out the recording. This sound is free to use but i'd love to see what it is used in!.

A walk through ridley road market in dalston, east london. Lots of people chatting and music playing. As with many markets in london there are lots of languages being spoken. You can hear traders calling out what they're selling. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is some processing to this recording to ‘normalize’ the levels and light eq-ing. I do not require any credit or attribution. These recordings were made at the annual "tag der sachsen" (saxony fair) in freiberg. Recordings were done on the main market square (obermarkt), where a local radio station had set up a large stage for concerts and other events. Recording was done with a zoom h2, mics at 90° dispersion. This is the early morning after the event, at about 7. 30, stage hands are taking down the rigging, workers are clearing away trash and loading trucks. During the recording, someone starts working with a leaf blower.
