Nine minutes of a strong thunderstorm with heavy rain and frequent thunder, recorded on the back patio of my house. Recorded with an iphone 4, then converted to wav 48hz. The quality is pretty good. You don't hear any cars or other background noise, just lots of rain and thunder.

While doing sit-ups in my bedroom - i've discovered that the friction of my back with the floor makes hilarious "fart-like" sounds, in all kinds of variations. I left my zoom h4n on a table under a roof on the back yard paving to capture a massive thunderstorm. Lots of rain. Lots of thunder. It starts in the distance and then comes over the house - a big storm. Some door noises at the start and some bird noises and a car driving by and a bus in there as well. But generally mainly rain and thunder.

Time to give something back here. Hope it's useful. Mix out of a soft synth kick punched up and up, by adding gated attack kick. Compressed and limited, maximal appereance of the kick by giving enough space for other instruments. Also can handle a subbass (+/- sidechaincomp) easily , because of the depth.

Production process: sound generated from kick synth; signal splitted in two bands; high band signal filtered, distorted and panned (this gives nice roughness and makes kick sound pretty good with center panned bassline); low band signal equalized with some re-verb; both bands mixed back together.

I made this using an alto recorder and then adding reverb to it. I have made it longer or shorter by just adding or taking away pieces in the middle. It was made to convey a sense of foreboding. This is a recording i made with my h4n while on exercise at meaford training centre, with an artillery unit. It features 5 mortars firing multiple rounds. In the back ground, you can hear fire orders being issued over the radio, as well as individual detachment commanders giving orders to their gunners.

I decided to make this audio clip long since i haven't heard from them for a while. The sex noise parts are around 9:30 to 26:00. A lot of the parts were amplified.

Common terns are pale gray overall with a black cap. Breeding birds have a fully black cap that extends to the back of the neck and a gray belly. Terns comes from lac des chanteraines next to paris. I love listen to terns next to highway. It’s a pretty shocking contrast of noise pollution.

I went out back to record the robin and also noticed a smaller pileated woodpecker right over on the wood pile. Listen hard and you'll hear it peck the wood. That's the first sound you hear along with the robin and my neighbors kids. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak and edited on sony vegas with two track duplications. This is a recording i made of a child's toy that had dead batteries in it. The sample playback rate was slowed by the drain of the amplifier. As sounds played back their pitch and sample rate changed depending on the amplitude of the sound. . . Pretty cool effect i figured. . . "man i gotta record that and use it!" so here it is!.
