For pitching the bass part / tail up and down, i suggest using cool edit pro or adobe audition. Cubase pitching/timestretch algorithms are quite nice as well.

One of my early psy goa trance base sample packs. I think it starts at c2. I have never seen a set of psy base samples on the net, thought i'd put them up. In this sound track, someone is handling a bag of crisps with strong intent on making rumple noises. The motion is holding and folding the bag of crisps. The sounds has a metallic quality to it, the motion is done at random. Useful for sample slicing. It is recorded with a simple tie microphone and then edited on audacity to reduce noise and isolate the sound.
