I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.

This time a more abstract sound clip which in that case was prerecorded (bell 1) altered to the extend and used from mono back to eight channel ending up l+r. Although its abstract atmosphere the modular effects rings on a specific structure using 20th century harmony "rules" and of course tempo. Enjoy!.

I produced this sound using massive exported through fl studio 20. Clean 808 bass sound sustained with no distortion, no bs, just that thing that makes your speakers jump. Feel free to use this any way you like. I am interested to hear what people do with it so if you post a link here i will definitely listen to it.

A short and simple tapping riff. All guitar tracks were recorded with an ibanez rg7321 plugged directly into an m-audio fast track pro. I used cubase as my daw and plugins by tse audio and lepou for overdrive and amp simulation, respectively, some stock cubase plugins (eq, compression, delay, etc. ) and some drum hits were added using superior drummer.

Simple, sad chords with an ambient drum pattern accompanying. I created this with logic pro x and a basic soft synth that come with the software. The drums have some effects from fabfilter's "timeless" plugin, and also some distortion, but nothing too fancy. This is my first sound contributed to the community so they'll hopefuly get more interesting as i improve, but feel free to use it as you wish.

Made sometime during 2017. Excerpts from my experiments with sinusoidal waves, homemade distortion effects, digital reverb, room reverb, and speaker->mic->pc feedback. Several effect parameters are controlled via an ekg setup called the "infernal gadget" which i constructed between 2010-2011 and used for several improvised music sessions.

Recorded with zoom h2 to 96 khz / 24-bit wav, encoded to flac with audacity. There's some background noise and touching sounds, possibly useful as foley. The initial pressure jet is distorted, so you'd need to clean it up a bit or use for special effects instead. Enjoy!.

While outputting a file of sound effects, i ended up with a severely corrupted file. Playback results include incessant shrieking and slight pitch alterations. To create more variety, i used a lowpass filter and long reverb.

Built on 'synthetic kick drum' with the following differences:. - subtle spatial stereo addition starting from 105 hz- slight adjustments in individual frequency bands to emphasise sound characteristics- pink noise at below -68db for own frequency adjustments- additional slight warm coloration- sending the kick through the neold v76u73 compressor for additional subtle sound distortion without any compression.

This was recorded on july 4th, 2013 in enumclaw, wa. I was not expecting the bomber to fly over and it was a tribute to one of the last surviving members (edward saylor) of the doolittle raid on tokyo on april 18th, 1942. He was in the parade too. I can just imagine the sound of hundreds flying over in ww2. There is a bit of distortion as the plane flew directly overhead. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).

Decided to do an exercise from "the book of bad ideas c 2. 0". This is exercise 1. 3 just intonation. Nice. Then i start to turn knobs and get modular mayhem. . .

A 7 minute continuous clip of birds in my backyard. 24 bit 48khz recorded with a sound devices 552 and a matched stereo pair of akg c451b's. Why does everything i upload sound like people screaming and/or chainsaws!?. Sound source is a contact mic producing feedback into various fx. The main fx used for the clip are a sirkut electronics gnarler, boss metal zone, dod grunge, and finally, a danelectro french fries auto wah. Recorded direct-to-sound card as usual. This is a sample taken from a longer piece.

Sound is a home-made circuit bent walkie talkie fashioned into a sort of opto-theremin. Main fx used to process it: boss xtortion and wattson superfuzz, with various other fx switched on and tweaked in the middle. Very much like a chainsaw in the beginning. . . That or a motorbike. The "reving engine" effect was created by blocking the amount of light going to the photocell (which was ripped out of a furby!).

A simple sine-generator piped through a slew of wacky effects automated with randomized lfos. I added some cabinet emulation to give it a 'living room' feel but left it dry enough to add additional stereo/reverb processing. P. S. It loops cleanly. Software: bitwig studio.

Skewer slam is a combination of my knife sharpening sounds and metallic impacts/wobblers (some not yet uploaded here!) to create a sesnsation of something big, intense and lethal coming towards whoever it either find offensive or is ambulatory. As a personal note; the distortion you hear is not because of clipping in the initial recording but because of the higher acoutistic resonance and limiters applied which will not sound like this when downloaded.

Kick sound created in fl studio using a reggae kick sound played both dry and using a denise punisher free distortion vst and then layered with a pure click from fl studio. The resulting kick to me sounds somewhere between techno and dubstep light. Would love to hear about anything you create with it but as always free to use whether you inform me or not. Revolt!.

Cutted parts of an audio experiment using carbon electra saws with some internal pitch envelope going on, going into trash 2, going into eq modulation, going into manipulator (formant & pitch shift, a bit fm modulation on a shifting frequency at times), going into ott.

Tornado siren in streamwood, il recorded during the monthly test. This version is heavily edited, with some filtering and compression applied, as most of the recording was distorted (i was too close to the siren!), although it should be useable with appropriate filtering to suit your purpose. The actual siren is located a short way north west of the geotag (it should be visible using google's satellite view). Recorded using a rode ntg2 into a zoom h4.

This is a short sample from a noise track i just completed. It sounds a lot like someone screaming/roaring into a microphone, but it's actually a roland juno-6 played through various fx pedals (boss metal zone, boss xtortion, boss me-30 on ring mod setting, danelectro fish & chips, and a sprinkling of various other fx pedals throughout the recording). This is a recording of traffic passing on a freeway. Used the voice recorder app on my samsung galaxy phone to record this. It is an android app available on google play. After recording this i downloaded it as a wav file, then uploaded it to soundtrap. Com. An online studio where you can record and create music using pre-recorded instrumental loops. Here i altered or distorted the sound of the traffic to make it a more ambient sounding loop. Giving it a drone sounding noise.

Just playing with the alesis vortex keytar i got at a garage sale for practically nuttin'. The guitar synth is revitar. And i ran it through amplitude. Timings a off and it sound fake. Okay if the sound you're going for is a drunk robot, i got you covered. Actually, i think a keytar and a good guitar synth would actually be pretty sweet. Best garage sale find ever. Better than that time i got all those pedals.

This is a small clip which i made playing the original video on my laptop and recording it on my cell phone. There is a noise machine on and a voice distortion tool being used and foreground dialog as well. It's the whispered dialog that is crucial in my quest for justice. Heavily pounding bassdrum originally made from 10 litre bottle punching sounds recorded with my fake shure c608 mic and heavily processed by adding some modulations, distortions, layering some attack and setting bass part (under 200 hz) to mono. Will be nice choice to produce hip-hop drums, or experimental techno also for making cinematic thunder-like booms.

I did slightly edit the original audio so that it's not as ear exploding as the original. Each accidental pattern was mined out of a much longer recording. I noticed these interesting sequences of noises while editing other samples over the years and threw them into a catch-all folder. All of these were recorded with a usb-stick mic so they have a nice lo-fi distorted quality. Try looping any of these patterns and you'll hopefully understand why i selected them.

This is a simple sketch, where i played on electric guitar just for fun through a little guitar amp [pignose], some simple rock riff with solo part. It`s not a quality record, so i adding "lo-fi" in a name trek. Temp 77 bpm.

Simple synth snare + 3 higher speeds. ⸻ "how do you make a classic synth snare, do you just take white noise and go like. . . " *goes like* ". . . Huh" yep you just go like. (going like consists of setting an oscillator to sine with just a release tail and noise + a lowpass snapping up and trailing off gently + compression/distortion of some sort + high frequency shelf snapping down from high gain and then back up).

Electric sparkle sound made in harmor in flstudio. Sound is made of harmor generating dark, unison, subbas oscilation with three partials with fundamental frequency of 50hz. Partials got decaying amplitude along frequencies. Bass is put into wave shaper with smooth, negative peak distortion at 50% of positive range. Then falls into parametric equalizer boosting 3khz, forming wide parabolic shape. Bass frequencies are cut off. 44. 1khz, 16bit.

This is my voice of frustration. I recorded this by an accident, i got angry in the middle of recording something else. Authentic - no acting. "kurwa" is a polish word as popular and as meaningful as english "fuck". It is also (sadly) the most well-known polish word among other nations. I recorded this sound with the microphone from the logitech quickcam for notebooks pro. I know, the webcam is really old but i happened to find it from my brothers room and used it for a microphone replacement. You may say it distorts a lot, but that's just because the original setting of level is 50+ db. Now onto the topic. I spinned the usb cord around the end, and tried to do it fast enough to create this sound. This is a modified sound from its original. Spectral editing in audacity has been done.

A light thunderstorm in carrboro, nc. Not too much wind or heavy rain, but some very good thunder claps. As the thunder slowly fades away, some distant traffic and a siren can be heard. Recorded on a zoom h2. This was uploaded as vorbis instead of flac or wav because it's quite long but i thought people might find it useful to have the whole thing. Some intelligent de-clipping was also performed in audacity to remove some slight distortion from the loudest claps.

I recorded this quick improvisation with my built-in laptop microphone and track monitoring on in reaper, which resulted in it sounding washed-out, warped, and screechy in the high end. At the beginning you hear the distorted wail of a left click initiating the recording. Somebody walks into the living room at the end and we share an exchange.
