Wav, but on this one i eq'd out all lows below 250hz in an attempt to eliminate the dull drone of an air conditioner. Recorded in early april 2012 at about 5:00 a. M. In a rural area. I used the handy zoom h4n with the internal built-in microphones.

There is an ocassional cricket who sounds like he literally must have been sitting point-blank in front of my microphone - a great surprise, you can literally hear his wings stridulating. Recorded using the handy zoom h4n and the built-in stereo mics.

Went out to get birdsong and general ambience without realizing it was going to rain. First two minutes can hear birds and bugs and nature sounds, then past the 3 minute mark the rain begins to set in gradually.

I deleted parts with handling noise and normalized the sound. For a quick drag and drop in a video editing project and such. It's not perfect and i may have missed some handling noise hence "rough cleanup". But it's a bit better :)if this will be background noise in a video/music, you'll probably lower the volume and the handling noise will become much less apparent. The beautiful, pleasant sound of the creek dropping over a small sandstone rock provides a nice background to the very "happy-to-be-here" louisiana waterthrush. Late august here in the midwest is the time for the loud choruses of insects. This recording, done in the backyard of a small town, features the classic"ebb and flow and swell" of the dusk insects. Since a park is nearby, you also hear in the background the excited voices of kids playing---maybe these youngsters do realize that soon they will be back in school and that the joyous, careful time of summer play and reflection will soon be over. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder using its built-in internal microphones. The volume was set on 80. One of my favorite sounds is that of leaves skittering across a street on a crisp fall day. . . This, however, is elusive and tricky to record. However, here is a recording that i made this past friday october 19th, 2012 in a small town in southern illinois. It's not perfect, but i'm happy with it. Recording made at night as a cold front is moving in, using a zoom h4n recorder and my trusty rode n-tg-2 shotgun microphone. Enjoy. Kvgarlic.
