This is a plastic tube meant for the filter system in a pond. I realised that it made a pretty cool sound when i tapped it at one end & recorded at the other. I have also uploaded another few taps with a harder object.

The guest room i am staying in has a tile bathroom. Each time i take a shower, i hear this magnificent hum of the water heater clicking on and then turning off once the shower water is stopped. I was fortunate enough to hear it click on while i wasn't in the shower and captured about 30 seconds of it before it died. Infinite variation, impossible to replicate. At the end, as the water heater shuts down, it clicks down into the lowest ranges of the frequency spectrum; i didn't hear it until i listened to the recording but the couple of seconds of that are just as magical. Wish i would have left the recorder running!. Captured with a zoom h3-vr to ambix format at 96k24bit and bounced to stereo. Processing: 24db gain to all 4 clips, izotope spectral denoise to get rid of the air in the room and izotope ozone to enhance the bass signal a touch. Enjoy!.

This is a recording of the scariest/weirdest computer crash i ever experienced. I was working in after affects when the screen froze and this sound started blaring through my headphones. I unplugged myself and let it play through the speakers then decided it was really neat sounding, so i took a mic and recorded it. This was a couple years ago but i never uploaded it because the recording didn't do it justice. I opened the file recently and thought it sounded kind of neat anyway, so here you go, internet. The sound of windows 7 rebelling and trying to come to life.

A short clip of a recording i made from my cbf600 motorcycle gearbox and chain. You can hear gearbox wine (normal), the sound of the chain running over the drive sprocket, some gear shifts and a little wind noise. I recorded it to see what it sounded like. It can make a good reference with which to compare should you think there is a problem in the future. I like the sound of the engine running and gears, normally drowned out by the exhaust. I clipped the mic to the gear lever. If i do it again i will place it further away from the sprocket.

I can assure you this is original because i don't know even know how to read or play music. This is an original track that has been made for our upcoming film. I put my cheap keyboard on the organ setting and played with it until i heard something that almost sounded intentional. It's completely royalty free, feel free to use it. 3rd in chromatic order. I recorded 16 notes from a music box. I waited for the motor to loose juice then i wound it forward manually so i could record each separate note chromatically. There are two octaves plus one note. Begins with d and climbs up the scale ending with e.

A sound i thought i could hear in my mind and i thought i might be able to find, but decided to go out and create this one. We went out and literally hit metal rulers against a metal staircase handrail, and then went into audacity and reverberated a copy underneath the sound, and tweaked it a bit to add the lasting effect.

I couldn't find any real and free glockenspiel sounds,so i recorded my own on my sonor g30 glockenspiel with my cell phone. . . Then i manipulated the samples with cubase. I hope you like them and do whatever you want with them!.

Warning: super loud. Okay, so i was using baking soda on my face to clear out blackheads, but i had a few scabs from my dermatillomania, and i was making a video where i mentioned it, and shouted this. It's really gritting your teeth and embracing the pain. It's so metal. Xd.

Recorded with a little usb-stick mic that i sat on the counter near the sink. The sounds in this pack are of me cleaning a 16" glass bong with hot soapy water. I wasn't planning to record myself, but i ended up making interesting noises and thinking i better record them!.

I love being contrained by minimalistic restraints when improvising. I was enjoying hanstimm's machine sounds so , using only the loop function of this site, i made an improvisation using his 'machine' pack.

I was tried to make a tape loop, and this is what i got. For those who haven't tried, it's very difficult to make a tape loop. This one broke after two loops, so i'm lucky i recorded it!.

This is a combination i put together for a nuclear holocaust themed sleep video i did that mostly features the sound of a geiger counter, radio static, and wind. I tried to pull sounds together that gave a real post-apocalyptic ambience.

I moved everything out of my bathroom for cleaning and noticed the acoustics sounded nice, so i decided to get a quick recording of my shower. The equipment i used was a laptop with a rode nt1-a and a sennheiser md 421-2.

There i was late a night. I was turning my computer off after editing my site. I was silenced by night. But there was a storm a brewin' i opened my bedroom window and put my ear to the icy wind. I knew then this wasn't the usual mellow wind. I ran down the stair with my zoom h4n equipped, went through the garage into the black of night. I sent my gain levels to 60 and with only a foam wind shield i put it between to to boards of wood to act as a wind shield thus allowing my to capture the wind slicing through the trees. With only adjusting the gain levels slightly in post nothing else been done, allow you to add you own effect on it.
