I recorded this using a bottle and a bowl of water. I experimented a bit & got some interesting sounds. I recorded this & combined it with some other recordings to make a sound effect for some goo.

This is one from when i first got into digital music. I "penciled" in midi graphs, and manipulated other samples from a buddies sound bank, thus creating. . . Pollie soft. I love the mumbling bass rhythms in the background under the subtle jazz hits, maybe?.

Recorded on marantz pmd661 with rode ntg-2. While working on a project i saw a man operating a machine with tank-treads designed for lifting wheelchairs up and down stairs. I took him aside and asked if i could record the internal motors and servos working.

I heard these owls outside my window this evening. I live next to a large field and it attracts birds of prey frequently. I managed to capture them conversing back and forth. Unfortunately, the neighbors dog had to chime in. But, even that sounds kind of neat with the natural reverb of the open space.

Took my zoom h4 with me on the last flight of a 5 story metal stairwell then on the backstage catwalk - first back stage, then over the audience, then to the sound booth of a theatre i was working at. Note: i did not realize my pants made so much noise as i was walking.

I thought i record some breaths, tried to variate it a bit. For example there is an inhale and exhale with the yogic ujjayi breath and some other ones. I used some of these in drone pieces, they blend it pretty well. Thats unprocessed raw: just recorded direct into ableton 9 with zoom h2n.

I used my bathroom as a live echo chamber - porting out from my pc, and then recording back via a neuman mic. I liked the tunefullness of the boiler pump in the airing cupboard, so left it running and put the mic in there. This is a very small piece of an overtone composition i made.

I was fiddling around with an analog synth that went into a peavey km50 keyboard amp and i made this soundit has loads of pitch editing giving it the house-ey feel to it and i think it was an fmaj5/9 chord with extra 6ths and 4ths.

Interference is a interesting phenomenon. I blow a bass tone and add my own voice, first i adjust my voice to same wavelength as the instrument, then i change my voice linearily, and you can follow how you get a 3rd tone, which is either a+b or a-b.

I processed this sound by placing the cap of an empty small water bottle on my forehead with my palm. I vibrated my palm against the bottle to create the woodpecker sound. I added some reverb to give the illusion that this takes place in a bird sanctuary, or a rainforest.

Im making an fps game, and i needed a special sound for a special gun. So i made this weird laser sound.

I recorded this analog clock i bought at walmart using a blue - baby bottle microphone, the clock was 3 inches away and the room static is plain.
