I'm making a spooky scary video game and needed a "behind you" whisper to play over the shoulder of the player. Didn't find anything so i made it myself by recording several whispers of "behind you" and then applying effects in audacity. Hope this helps someone. Go ahead and use this for whatever. Attribution is appreciated but not required. :).

This was made from a 2-second stutter on a voice recording i was doing. I pulled it and played with it, looking for the various ways i could manipulate it. At one point it started sounding spooky and a bit dramatic. I kept going with it, and produced this.

An atmosphere made just for fun. I recorded it live, with pro tools, through a beringher b1 microphone, connected to an ur22 mk2 sound card. I used a church reverb and a slight delayfeel free to use it, just add me to the credits of your project :).

Thriller ambience made using cubase pro. Don´t mind those high pitched sounds in the clip, they go away when you download it.

I took the sound "arpasauro atmo" from thalamus_lab and stretched it + fading in and out, because i needed a longer version. I just love the atmosphere it creates! the gong at the beginning transmuted into some kind of a mystical choir and at the end the short squeaking turned into some kind of a slow door groan. . This is a mono recording of a trumpet mouth piece played through plastic plumbers tubing then pitched down. The first take is dry and the second is soaked in reverb.

I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. I also normalized to -3db.
