I was on the ferry going back home and i wanted to record the ferries horn and the announcements. The ship blasts it's horn before leaving the dock and then does safety announcements afterwards. This is that recording. Enjoy.
Dropping a medieval drinking horn on a stone floor from a few centimeters over the floor. A few of the later takes were dropping it on a thin blanket ontop of the stone floor, to muffle the sound slightly.
I happened to record this at a meet of a local fox hunting pack, on a digital video recorder and extracted this portion of the soundtrack - it makes a vary good im message on a mobile phone.
I couldn't find any other sounds of this on here, so i decided to be the first. You may think it sounds off, but this is what the actual horn sounds like when its in tune. It's sometimes called a "dixie horn". Source: https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=8odaz7dj3ng&t=4s.
This was a home recording made with a rechargeable safety signal air horn. When the air supply in the canister is depleted, it is replenished by means of a small hand held pump.
Recorded on a sony dcr-trv460e pal digital video recorder from the top deck during the ship's evening departure from cozumel, mexico. This wav file was extracted from the original avi file and edited using easy audio cutter.
