This is a recording i made of a handle-less serrated knife rubbing against another of the same type, back and forth. I then cut out the lighter points to leave the heavy tones, then i gave it a little stretch and filtered it. Recorded on a zoom h2.

Composed in musescore, synths added with lmms, additional sound done with audactiy. Starts out with bass drums, progresses to synths held on one note, then snares. Double bass creates rising tension. Creepy horror ambience i made.

I modified a sound i found on here (it was labeled as "cc0" or public) to give it a bit of a psycho sound. The original user is "memz" and the title they made is "thriller score horror scene". The only thing i did was rearrange the audio so that it echoes in and out. If you appreciate the sound, give "memz" the accolades and not me.

A horror sound for as a sound effect. I played smoke on the water on my guitar, recorded it and edited it in audacity. I reversed the audio, tuned the sound lower and speeded it up. This was the result, a creepy horror suspense sound.
