Part of a pack of source recordings i created to use as part of the sound design for the ios/android game 'hipster zombies'. This is the sound of a toy skull type thing my girlfriend found, which has a lid you can open and then there's a gooey brain inside which makes awesome squelchy sounds.

Grudge movie croak sound interpretation. The sound was created using my own voice drawing in air while croaking. It was recorded using mixcraft 6 and a samson q1u microphone. The only effects used were a delay set to long repeat, a touch of reverb while mixing and some compression while recording. But the sound is my voice, in fact all the sounds i upload here are self made. :o).

Process: a while ago i worked on a game and recorded several sound effects, one track after another. With the session set up the way it was, i opened all the channels and selected a section and exported it. After exporting, i threw it into paulstretch, and rendered that at the default settings. Soundscape of some pads. . Strange how the midi was created. . Used a granular device to create some sort of glitchy effect, then just converted that "melody" to midi in ableton, added stock ableton sound. And post processed to give it pad and ambience.

This is a very old, out of tune accordian (the tuning wavers way off key on the main notes as it plays). It might be useful for messing around with to create undertones for a horror or mystery with a rise-fall pattern. I recorded it on an se x1 large condenser mic. Completely free to use for anything. Another very old production, i think this one's from around 2009 even!. Using the reverb of a chord i made on my guitar i created a drone-y, washed out sound. Added some subtle bitcrushed drums, cymbals and a vst synthesizer plays some notes to fill it out a bit, and a dark brooding bass-like instrument pulls up near the end of the track.
