This is a recording of michigan avenue in chicago from an interior perspective made from the 24th floor facing west. The microphones were spaced apart and placed very close to the window. Interior ventilation/air conditioning rumble is audible. This could be a useful sound for a downtown city office background. Time of recording was 3:05pm. The microphones are facing across the street to the el tracks which cross diagonally across the block at this point. The curvature of the tracks causes the squeaking of the wheels. Trains heading into the loop (north) tend to travel more slowly than those heading south. Cars accumulate at the intersection of harrison and wabash to the south (left). Time of recording was 5:41pm.
