From under a concrete bridge, the sound of cars driving at a fairly high speed over the decking. Unlike some similar bridges, this one does not produce any loose metal clanking at the joints and there is very little flange to the sound as the cars pass.

Processed kick with good transientmade with ableton and been tested with monitors, its been eq'd and a compressed. This sound it at -0. 1db instead of 0. 0 so it's definitely not clipping. The sub of the kick is made in ni massive and then processed with all most every plugin i have. I took surprisingly long to make because it was originally meant to be secret for one of my own tracks but i never really used it so it has a lot of hidden detail that is just waiting to be downloaded lol.

After spending a weekend putting together a giant wardrobe (from everyones favourite swedish furniture store) for my girlfriend i thought i should reward myself by making some recordings of it. This is a close mic recording of the sliding door, i followed the top of the door (where there was the most interesting sound) the full length of the wardrobe as i opened/closed the door. For this recording i used my sennheiser mkh416 going into a sound devices mp-1 preamp and recorded to a tascam dr-680.

We are dismantling part of the piano to repair, clean, and, unfortunately, sell it. The mechanism for one note is the only problem, and, of course, it needs tuning. Crowded diner/restaurant in tokyo. This is a stereo mixdown of a 4 channel surround recording i took in a crowded restaurant in tokyo. You can hear a a lot of conversations, some waiters and lots of utensil sounds. Most of the conversation in the background is in japanese. I think i heard some english when i edited this, but i'm not really sure. Anyways, good stuff. Mics were places at a 20 degree and 90 degree angle and then later mixed down to stereo. Enjoy!.

I set up my recorder outside on christmas eve in 2016 and unwittingly captured the sound of this anonymous and apparently oblivious neighbor walking his dog and singing "it's the most wonderful time of the year" down my street. Pretty charming!. I've noticed recently how my zoom h4 has this nasty looping hum buried beneath the already disappointingly stubborn background noise whenever i do field recordings. This is a recording of me taking a can of spray adhesive and shaking it so that the metal ball inside makes the iconic clink-a-tink-a-clink that most gangsta rappers are more than familiar with. I also included some bytes of me spraying it. For this, i took an old piece of cardboard and sprayed the spray adhesive on the cardboard. Simple as that. This is a section of the pack with 50 bass drum varieties. Most of them are just minor changes and they resemble extremely "similar" sounds however they're based on different wave forms which are mixed together to form varieties. Other parameters were mashed, some may have distortions some may not. All the sounds you hear are synthesized. Just as most of the city's inhabitants, the ring-necked, alexandrine and quaker parrots came from a different place. Having escaped a zoo exhibit many years ago, they've been eking out a living, adapting to the tempered climate and found themselves a new home. My fifth attempt at a glitch style loop. In order to make the samples used here - most of which are only hundredths of a second long - i took samples from the amen kit, then switch the format from >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< into >adpcm 11. 025 khz, 4 bit, stereo< then back to >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< again. I found that if you do this with a sample under 00. 35 seconds long, you get an almost random glitch sound, about. 04 seconds long, that barely sounds like the original sound. I just figured this out, but i'll make note of it; i like some of the effects.

Not a very good recording, and very short - but this is the flapping of a juvenile bald eagle's wings and its cry. I'm only uploading this because i don't think there are any other samples on freesound. I didn't manage to get a good shot at this one, so that's all there is. But i'll try for a better sample as soon as i can. This is a real bald eagle - not a red-tailed hawk, which is what most eagle samples really are. As with the loons, i'm on a bad dialup connection but if i get a better sample i'll upload it as a wav.

Ambient echo sound. This sound required the combination of operator using the triangle wave and plenty of reverb. I layered this sound by using two different octaves to cover most frequency ranges that sounded best and to fill any gaps in the sound effect. This sound is inspired by scene transitions and wide shots where there may be a lack of other sounds so this frees up a space for a calm ambient sound that uses plenty of sustain and reverb. The triangle wave in the operator gave it more of a high pitched calm flowing sound. The other options for example sine wave sounds to harsh and sharp for this type of sound.

This piece is a sound-sculpture of a weather effect commonly called the beast from the east in the uk. It is based on a longer piece by me called frozen kaos. This was constructed by me using only copywrite free sources of sounds, musical(ish) pieces and natural sounds. All of these were assembled and processed using the free software package audacity™. Most samples have been filtered, pitched, and manipulated vastly to make the basic foundation. On that base all the rest of the sounds were layer (over 200 different layers -- manipulated, mixed down, rebuilt, remixed, manipulated). I mostly work be happenstance and never take notes -- often what comes about is as much by chance as by design.

One of autumn's most signature sounds is that of dry leaves skittering and tumbling as they ride along on a hard surface. In this case, the hard surface is asphalt. Hardly any other sound, just the strong autumn wind, and bunches of dried out sweet gum, maple and oak leaves racing across an asphalt parking lot. Think of it, also, as the sound from our youth, our careful youth when everything was achievable. At least for me, this brings me back to my happy place. Recorded on saturday october 17 2020 in an asphalt parking lot buffeted by gusts between 20 and 30 mph. Sound devices 702. Sennheiser mkh416 left channel, beyerdynamic m58 right channel.

I created another file to play when you don't recognise a telephone number that calls you, this time the people in the hoax have scottish accents and the music is deliberately degraded to make it scratchy, tinny and annoying. I was inspired by those nasty auto-switchboards you encounter now whenever you call anywhere, my thoughts were that if a spam caller conected to an auto-switchboard hopefully they would remove your number from their listings thinking it a business (most scammers and spammers only want to call residential numbers). Please enjoy using this to annoy the hell out of those bothersome spam callers. The music is royalty free for personal use.

His first band Foolish Behaviour was formed around 1982, when he started jamming and recording tapes with assorted friends. Hundreds of hours of music and other noises were recorded in the 12 years that followed. A few cassettes and cd-r’s were privately released and various tracks turned up on compilations, most notably on Comfort Stand Recordings and blocSonic. In the meantime Kalnenek started his own label, WM Recordings, in 2004. After years of relative inactivity Marco Kalnenek’s first official EP “If Not For” finally appeared in May 2013.
