Old yamaha drum kit recorded through a qfx shoebox taperecorder's built in mic. Then i played the tape and recorded a voicenote on a samsung galaxy note s1. I like the grain and texture so hopefuly helps for your lo-fi intended tracks.

Me hitting 7x13 tama s. L. P. G-maple snare drum. Different dynamic hits including ghost notes. 13" evans st dry coated on batter and 13" evans snare side on resonant. Recorded with a slate digital vms ml-1 large-diaphragm modeling microphone.

Note: i have created a newer version which has better looping. It is called drum beat loop 2. 0. This is a drum beating. It is 12 seconds long but can be looped. It was createdusing ableton live (including plugins like acdgen, drumbrain, and polyrandom). The files were then combined and edited using audacity. Feel free to comment your opinions on this. Note: while this did loop just fine in my tests, some software don't handle the looping as well (like groove music pauses before repeating). If the looping doesn't work the first time, try using a different software. You can easily do this on a windows pc by right clicking on the file and pressing open with (i am sure there is also a way to do this on a macbook but i have never used one so i am not sure how you would do it). This is an audio recording of brood x cicadas from a tree in my yard recorded on june 1, 2021 in northern virginia. Please note there is a mail truck that you can hear at around the 1:40 mark and some neighborhood workers speaking at 2:05 with a nail gun at 3:33. Birds come in at 2:40 and the cicadas really begin to crescendo at 3:14.
