A 5 minute sound file made by muting the strings of one of my banjos and playing a small range of finger patterns in mixed order. Recorded direct to my computer with a few adobe auditions effects added to enhance the sound. A great fit to a short story or thought-provoking piece of work.

In this piece, the recording of an acoustic guitar was made, with the technique of listening with one ear from several points and distances, since, as we saw in course 2, doing that is like listening to the way in which the microphone picks up the sound; and that is the specific point where the microphone must be. A dynamic microphone, interface and computer with digital audio station was used.

This is my wind entry for the competition. It's derived from some recorded voice and putting a microphone in various containers while the wind was blowing. I was able to get some interesting sounds from this, then i used some mutation effects, convolution, and phase vocoding to combine the voice and the wind sounds into this short piece.

This is a great little piece to be used in teasers, trailers, or anything of the sort as it slowly builds up to reveal the climax. It also works in intros or logos, as well. It is arguably the first full-scale work entirely composed by a computer without any human intervention and automatically written in a fully-fledged score using conventional musical notation.

I made this using an alto recorder and then adding reverb to it. I have made it longer or shorter by just adding or taking away pieces in the middle. It was made to convey a sense of foreboding. I hope you like it. I am grateful for all the sounds i have found and used in freesound - feels good to finally be able to give back and contribute!.
