Recorded with zoom h2 at 96 khz / 24-bit. Edited and converted to flac using audacity, otherwise unprocessed. Midway through recording i have lowered my gain setting from hi to mid to avoid clipping. Some background noise (fridge) is left in for noise removal. I prefer to get raw audio from freesound i can process myself - gives me maximum options, that's why i deliver the same. You can hear sombody opening a box made of stone. The sound might fit in b-movies, when a misterious container opens.

I've been recording some sounds for a an upcoming project which led me to recording the underside of the lid of a salad spinner and dangling a small plastic tab on it as it spun. It wasn't my intention but it sounds a bit like an old film projector. You can get some interesting results with this clip by messing a bit with the eq which is what i'll be doing for the finished project. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. An 8mm film projector starting and running before the reel begins to run out and the last of the film is pulled through.

This is a perfect 1/10 second long 1khz tone like it is also used in film countdowns ;) u can also use it for a censor-tone: just copy&paste it again and again and ull get a longer 1khz tone without any jumps or hoverings.

A vintage canon at-1 shutter and film advance mechanism recorded with a miktek c5. Recording from various angles, with and without the lens on, from the front, and back with film compartment, etc. Useful for foley and also a great unusual percussion sample for trap hi-hats, etc.

An 8mm film projector being turned on. The projector then runs for over a minute, with some changes in pitch as the reel grows smaller. The reel then reaches the end and is pulled through the projector before the projector is turned off.

Music made for pondering. Filler music between scenes maybe. Could be used in a video game also when making a purchase or visiting a market.

The recording was made at my home for the purpose of creating a sound design for a short animated film. I recorded these sounds on my zoom h5.
