Atmosphere in the interior of the sagrada familia, or more formally, the basílica i temple expiatori de la sagrada família, in barcelona, spain. Antonio gaudi's as-yet unfinished masterwork, begun in 1882, and set to be completed around 2026. It's an awe-inspiring building, with soaring, tree-like pillars and flooded with color from the stained-glass windows. This is a recording, made 2022 june 14, of the hubbub of sound inside the nave with multi-lingual tourists milling about, taking selfies, and gazing upward in awe. (try playing it back pitched down by and octave or more too!). .

A wonderful slice of small town life. Recorded august 27 2022 at a small town baseball game in southern illinois. Not a huge crowd, but you hear the murmur of parents, kids and of course the crack of the steel bat against the baseball. Especially good with headphones on, as i recorded this in stereo. Equipment: zoom f3. Microphones: em clippy 272 omni-directional microphones on microphone stands located 38 inches apart. Enjoy this timeless summer soundscape representing all that is good. Today begins a week of immense global protests and strikes to bring attention to the climate issue. Of course, i attended the guildford protest, participated and documented it here with some of its vocal chanting from a crowd of several hundred. This was recorded at loyola high school, near the the basketball court by the field and zee's (the cafeteria). It includes sounds from people playing basketball, dribbling, shooting, conversations with friends after school, and someone calling a student for his food.
