A recording of a recording as it turns out. Throughout different tropical countries you can often hear this being played out of buildings quite loudly and constantly. It is the sound of swallows who are known to make valuable nests out of their saliva. This hardened saliva is quite valuable and so this recording is often used to attract swallows in to nest in buildings. I asked my dental hygienist if i could recorder her cleaning my teeth. I was lying down in the dentist's chair, with a zoom h2 (xy-stereo, 96khz, 24bit) on my belly pointing upwards. I didn't manage to record the scraping tool (that hook), but i did record:1. The cleaning tool (vibrating, high to very high pitches)2. The polishing tool (spinning?, not so loud i think)3. That thing that constantly sucks away saliva.
Several spitting noises recorded with the aim of getting a realistic sound and nothing besides spitting. I actually spit (not dry spitting) into a plastic bag. The impact on the plastic bag can be heard, but it isn't too bad. The first half is p-spitting and the second half is t-spitting (shape mouth is held in). A little bit of horking and squishing as well. Recorded with a shure sm58 in a treated room.
Cat eating: here you can hear a cat eating out of a metal bowl. The sound of crunching is evident and also the slush of saliva when swallowing. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg and by using an actual cat. This sound is great to add realism to any soundscape.

Another recording of the idling train engine, this time with the spitting sound more towards a struggling pneumatic (air) valve. Also the alarm sound is more of a continuous cycling engine hum.
