There's two sounds in this file. I've recorded a british shorthair cat purring near his face, then i've moved the microphone to record from the chest. The recording was made using a zoom h5 portable recorder with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. The recording was made on the 15th june 2022.

His name is samson and he has spread himself around multiple neighborhoods for a decade. Now, he's mine. No more kittens.

How such a big cat can have such a tiny meow i have no idea.

It is about a registered sound. It is my cat which mews. I modified the sound to make it less personal. So i used the compressor and the echo.

My cat queen felicia gives some gentle purring as well as a few happy chirps while sitting on someone's lap.
