This sound could be used as a creepy ghost effect or whatever tickles your fancy. It was created with audacity using my laptop's microphone and my voice on december 23, 2014 in louisiana. I don't know if i'm supposed to put this info here or what, but whoomp there it is. .

A field recording i made in bruges, december 2013. While i was walking around the chapel at the béguinage, a nun started singing and practising the organ. It sounded beautiful but also quite spooky and ethereal. I'm afraid it's not the best quality as i had to improvise with the voice memo feature on my iphone. The recording has distant singing and other ambient noises, such as footsteps and whispering. The organ kicks in at 02:29. Please let me know if you make use of this.

This was created with paul's extreme sound stretch program, my voice, and audacity. I whispered a couple of times into the microphone and slowed it down a good bit in paul's stretch program. I think the result is pretty creepy! leave a comment and let me know if you plan on using this!. Edit -- 8/23/10 -- whoa, did not know that the file size was so big. Recording of me "growling" that has been highly altered to sound like a demon snarling. Same as "demon_ghost growling 1" but amplified to sound more sinister. Recorded and edited using audacity.

Inspired by ben croshaw's point 'n' click horror adventure games, i decided i'd try and see if i can make my own creepy whispers using audacity. This is basically some whispered lines and some really low-volume screams superimposed on one another, with some of these lines reversed. I made this on march 2012 and was recorded on my netbook's slightly damaged built-in mic.

Spooky ghostly whispers, good to use if someone is going insane or battling with some unknown spiritual force.
