Garden ambience: birds chirping, softly in the background there is a fountain and dogs barking. Wind blowing threw the leaves off trees. Recorded with a zoom h6 (rode ntg-2). Recorded in a room with good acoustic.

Arcade ambience: here you can hear the stark sounds of an arcade. With electronic beats as background and the crashing of machines and games in the forefront. Bumper cars bumping into each other creates beautiful crashes and the laughter and mumbling of children are ever-present. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg in an actual arcade. This sound is great for setting a mood or scene and thus creating a soundscape.

Rain: this is a very subtle rain sound. It is not sharp but it is very constant. The droplets are hitting hard ground. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This sound is great to add volume to an already existing rain-ambience.

Sound forest.

Recorded using the ms mic on the zoom h644. 1khz/16bit wav recording. No effects added. Marine drive (south mumbai) at 9pm during high tide right after raining for a short time. Recorded whilst standing on a pavement across the street; facing towards the sea. Volume is initially low, but i increased the input level after about the 1 minute mark.

This was recorded on an iphone 6 at a small and crowded seafood restaurant in dallas, texas. The table where the recording device was located was near the opening of the kitchen.

Swelling ambient sound. Could be used for ambient sounds in an industrial setting. Source sounds:washing machine pitch shifted by 6 semi tones then slightly stretchedeq applied accenting low endreverbcompression with a ghost snare side chained to it to create the swell. Enjoy.

Created with a doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer sequenced by a korg sq-1 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle and hd reverb. Audio source is a self-resonating, modulated doepfer a-108 vcf8. The reverbs ran in series. The manual states that the particle reverb is based on the line6 m9 particle verb. Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.
