The hiss in the background is the constant float of steam from the ground along with the regular release of pockets of air from these odd little spitting mud holes. Pretty cool to see and producing a very unique sound. Not sure if it'll be useful for anything, but it was too cool to pass up. Again, sorry for the short duration; there was a lot of traffic and wind there. Recorded on a dslr and edited in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

Small rocks tumbling down a steep hill. We got in the van and drove down a rural road. On the side of that road, we found land with its topsoil removed, stripped also of its plants, but there were lots of rocks and a small cliff where rocks could tumble down. The location where this audio was recorded in arkansas is shown in a video of our family adventure. We found where whittington creek enters a man-made underground tunnel in the city of hot springs. 20s of hiss dithered to 16bit 48khz. Level it much lower to maybe between -40dbfs and -80dbfs and you will have a nice dub or tape noise.

Boots walking through short grass. Heavy rain the previous day had created a large amount of mud which can also be heard in this recording. Should be enough space in between each step to be effectively cut up for foley work. Recorded with a ntg2 mono shotgun microphone into a r05 recorder.
