Daikin dx18tc whole house air conditioner. This recording was captured with an evida recorder at 1m distance. It includes the startup, medium speed, full speed and shut-off sounds.

I heard rhythmic knocking on the wall late one night so i slipped my recorder under the adjoining door. The aircon background noise was more than i thought but was able to make out her words.

This is my first time ever recording ambiance, i used the tascam dr-40, please leave any notes and suggestions on how i can better make these ambient recordings.
