Fluorescent light is turned on, it flickers for a moment trying to strike then that wonderful fluorescent hum. There is also some scary electrical noises when the switch is flipped. Recorded on a sound canvas 702 with preamp with akg c414b microphone.

Exterior ambience with birds chirping and very slight rain. It's all quite relaxing, if i do say so myself. Recorded on a stereo pair of akg c568 b microphones, into a sound devices 633 recorder. Trimmed in adobe audition with a gentle high pass filter, no other effects added.

I recently found this awesome sounding metal cover in my workshop and decided to do some high quality recordings with it. A live recording of a 100+ choir in rehearsal. Recorded using a matched pair of rode nt5 for the left & right with an additional akg c451 for the centre. The idea of this recording was to capture the way a choirs sound fills a room. Some minor addtional eq has been used in the 35khz range boosting by 1db to give the performance a little oompf.

I was recording some cloth foley when, all of a sudden, a sickening burp emerged straight into the microphone. I think you could also use this sound as part of someone puking. Middle school (ages 12-14) band of about 50 students preparing to make an audition recording in their school auditorium. Two akg c 414 b-uls multi-pattern large diaphragm condenser mics were placed about 10 feet (about 3 meters) above the ensemble on the far right and far left, with a røde nt4 stereo condenser mic at the same height located in the middle of the group. Recorded using a single akg c451, run through an sqn 4s mini, into a tascam dr680d. Sorry it's not nice and stereo, but it was just recorded after an interview to give us something to work with in post. Might be panned hard left, too. Uploaded raw, thought it might be useful for someone!.

Clean recording of water being poured into a metal pot, meant to emulate the sound of water being poured into a kettle/teapot. Would work for pouring any liquid into almost any metal container (metal containers give off a subtle "twang" that isn't generally produced when pouring into other material containers such as glass, ceramic, plastic, wood, etc). I tried out some new gear and methods! more mountainside rain! a complete storm from beginning to end with swelling and then waning rainfall, occasional thunder. Ms stereo bar on mic stand projected through open second-floor window, just under the roof eaves. Recorded july 20th during one of the mid-afternoon brief intense storms we can seem to get frequently in the rocky mountain foothills beginning around june. If you were listening and wondering, the direct sound of the thunder is somewhat occluded as i believe the storm was behind the overhanging roof and house from the perspective of the microphone array. The mountainous terrain and other objects in the field reflected some of that thunderclap, as well as the exterior wall of the home, and so this is all a little bit funky. Wrote/recorded a short song about popping zits at 140 bpm in ableton live 9:kontakt player used for the formaggio string sections. My vocals were recorded with a akg 214c mic into a scarlett 18i20. Nothing fancy just get it down. Lyrics "get me now from the skin below, won't you help me out? i am stuck inside"then reverb added to vocals.
