This is a short test sound from a public alarming system meant to warn for example a local disaster. The loudspeaker was located at roof of tall building. This recording was made about 0,3 km from that loudspeaker.

Sound of a fire alarm from a local elementary school, with two microtonal notes that are playing against each other in an interesting way. Lots of wind. Recorded on an iphone.
An alarm sound. This sound was made by recording an actual beep from an alarm clock, duplicating the sound and slowing it down to 40% (0. 4x) of the original speed.
A basis for an alarm, made in native instruments massive, using the roughmath ii waveform and modifying it using effects built into massive and into the daw.
I recorded the sound of my alarm clock using a zoom h4n recorder and a rode m3 microphone. I can picture this sound being used at the start of an audio documentary that discusses the morning routine of someone who has to wake up early everyday. Maybe even the start of a film; this loud and obnoxious noise is an instant attention-grabber.
