What seems to be a malfunctioning alarm at a rail crossing. The clanging of the electronic bell has an irregular pattern and seems muted. Perhaps even more annoying to some than the typical crossing gate alarm.

It's an all synthetized sound, created on audacity. I wanted to recreat a basic emergency alarm, which can be use for cops, firemen or ambulance. I started by creat a track, then i add chirps. After, i duplicated the track and make a stereo of both. After, i copy and stick multiples times my sound. After, i chossed to raise the speed of the track, twice. I also modified a little bit the height. I bought my own fire alarm (i am an enthusiast) on ebay. I went into my garage to record it. And it didn't work. I tinkered with it a little and got it to work. And this is what it sounds like. Feel free to use with no credit.

I was editing a ringtone of the tardis landing from dr. Who when i accidently made this with that bell toll thing. Makes for an interesting alarm sound. No need to credit but would love to see what it was used in/for :). Edited in audacity using the noise reduction setting.

Fire alarm as used in sunderland royal hospital. This damn thing was tested over a dozen times, whilst i was sitting in the urology department waiting to have the p***taken out of me. I happened to be testing the voice recording capabilities of my sansa clip zip mp3 player, at the time. I'll think you'll agree this is exceptional quality for such a tiny microphone and only minimal background noise removal.

I may have used one of the absynth instrumentsto get this effect. It was a while ago however andwhile i still think it's cool, i have a hard timefitting it into my newer music.
