This is a recording i made of a handle-less serrated knife rubbing against another of the same type, back and forth. I then cut out the lighter points to leave the heavy tones, then i gave it a little stretch and filtered it. Recorded on a zoom h2.

Some birds (i think a bunch of crows and a hawk) fighting in a tree near my house. Recorded with a zoom h4n at 96/24. Birds were about 30 feet up in the tee and i was on the ground another 30 feet away. Some light traffic and airplane sounds low in the mix.

The processors are not "heard" by placing a small antenna between the flat cables from two hard discs, you can capture the data packages. That may be done next time.

Seven rounds from a lever-action marlin 1984c (cowboy rifle) in. 357 magnum. In most cases, the reports come rapidly on one another - this was necessary in order to eliminate background noise pollution. In one or two cases, there is a nice "decay" as the shot echoes into the distance.

I created a click track and got rid out the last two beats of each bar. I shortened the spaces between the first two beats of every bar. I then added a reverb effect and created another layer of brownian noise to even out the silence. There are several cranks with no effect, one with it catching then dying, then another with it catching and running a few moments before sputtering out. You can hear night ambience of large hangar with lot of silent insects flying directly to electronic trap light and burn in very close detail.
