This is a demo that i recorded of an actual weather report. Nondescript. For background to be playing as people are eating, talking, etc.

Recording of rain outside my house, with mic placed just outside a doorway under a plastic roof. Contains various dripping sounds from droplets coming off the roof and hitting lids of cans, the ground, etc. Recorded with a blue yeti microphone in omnidirectional pickup mode.

A big carton board was held by two people, and then shaken to produce the deep rumbling sound. Various ways of shaking and holding it, resulted in a very close thunder sound. A zoom h6 recorder, with the xy capsule was used to record it, inside of a classroom.

This realistic. Wav storm includes a mix of ambiance effects, back ground effects and other urban environment effects. This wav file was generated from gold wave, using a bunch of effects off of other projects that i had going. (ambiance effects recorded from riverside, pennsylvania. ).

After an august rain, there was enough water rushing downhill toward a golf course that it may be a bit hard to tell it's water. It might be softened up by reducing volume and used as a background. Some birds are audible. Coudburst, yes.

Wind noises recorded under a window in a high city block. Apart from huge amount of mic internal noise the recording is nice. Could be useful only when played really quiet. Captured with zoom h2 with hi gain at 96khz/24-bit. Edited and normalized with audacity.

I recorded it with an optimus tape deck and an old microphone (the tape i recorded it on was a maxell ur), i then used audacity and the same tape deck to convert it to digital. If you use it please tell me what you did with it, i would love to know.
