This is a brief recording of hiking boots on a gravel mountain road. May be good for a podcast as a background sound effect.

This is an example of a low-frequency sound often recorded through the hydrophone on the mars cabled observatory - an earthquake. They are recorded as dry as possible so you should add the ambience you like. How to make these:. 1. First empty two bottles of the famous spanish brandy lepanto. 2. Keep the korks - they have a very special sound different from the korks of wine bottles. 3. Then, if you're still able to hit (maybe you shouldn't drink the brandy alone and at once), fill things in a flat bowl or a plate - f. E. Pepper grains or salt. 4. Step the korks in the bowl and record it. You may also - as i did - step the korks on other things like a ventilator. 5. Compress the sounds hard but limit them to -4 db (as they sound not naturally if they are to loud).

Tokyo outdoor night ambience. This is a recording of the shinagawa area of tokyo after 1:00 am. Crickets can be heard chirping in the distance, as can cars on a usually busy road. The trainstation is closed, but there is still some activity that can be heard as well as wind and other night ambient sounds. Recording was made on the 6th floor of a highrise apartment behind shinagawa station. 2 mics placed at a 120 degree angle were used. No filtering was used. The only editing done was removal of the beginning and end of this clip.

This is for a video game i was making, but i figured it would be a good idea to share this with everyone. This is supposed to be the sound of a wooden container being violently smashed open, such as a barrel or a box, or even possibly a wooden wall. I borrowed a few sounds from the site, tweaked a little of course, and also added some powerful white noise effects to indicate a hard smash. With some layering with twigs cracking and pieces of wood falling on the floor, i think it sounds pretty authentic. . . Or as authentic as it can get!.

Completely made in sony sound forge 10 with the fm tools. Starts off with a sine 6,000 hz to ~12,000 hz in about three seconds to emulate a camera flash warming up. For those who intend to use it as a part of a futuristic weapon in games, flashes, or movies, i also added a double beep as a "weapon ready" cue and final tone at the for an optional "locked on" which could also double as an error beep.

This is the result of my big work with some samples from freesound and some samples that i made by myself. They were mixed all together and edited using lots of vst effects and software, reversed many times and mixed again, sampled in lo-fi quality and then again and again. . At first i wanted to use it by myself but then i thought: "why not share it with people? that can be useful. ". So please use it as you like, maybe you're an ambient or avantgarde music producer as me, and that can help you in your music. . Could be useful as a background. Enjoy!.
