I've labelled this as a thrush, but i'm no ornithologist. I recorded it outside my house in northumberland, england at 03:30am on 22nd may 2012, using an olympus ws-560m digital recorder. You can hear a stream running faintly in the background and the odd pheasant call from across the valley.

This a sound i created for the 'scottish play' for the appearance of banquo. It is made up of sounds from freesound and field recordings of screams and sobs. It was intended to shock the audience as banquo burst through a trap door in the stage. I am happy to say the audience jumped every night.

I repeated moved the rock towards and away from the detector over a period of 2 minutes. I used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.
