Satudary night in quito in the restaurant that i work, my friend musician marco oquendo play's a beautiful melody on his guitar, if you hear a male voice trying to sings like opera is the boss of the resaturante lol!. This is was recorded with my olympus dm-520 voice recorder, uncompressed audio, and with the build in miks.

Recorded on july 10th, 2019, perhaps around 11:30pm in the mountainous woods of chiayi county, meishan township in taiwan. It began drizzling and i thought the sound at night is quite beautiful. Excuse those weird bumps i made during the recording.

I've never heard so many frogs/peepers so deafeningly loud, persistent and oblivious to humans. I tried to record where the water was running but the animals drowned out the sound of the water. The beautiful, simple call of the field cricket is one of my favorite insect sounds. In late summer though the huge choruses of katydids and cicadas often drown out the simple beauty of this love song. Later, as the season progresses into fall and the temps dip to where the cicadas and katydids no longer sing, these simple, beautiful field cricket calls still last up to the time that the days just can't stay warm any longer. I like to see how late into the season i can hear these guys---something just hauntingly mesmerizing hearing this sound and no other on a mild autumn day, after a cold night. . I was fortunate enough to capture this recording on september 4th 2013 in my backyard. Recording made around 4:30 in the morning with my h4n recorder using its internal built-in microphones.

An enjoyable trip back to my childhood. . . Way before cell phones and the internet. Summers were enjoyed walking on the gravel alleys looking at the beautiful, mature trees in my own little corner of the neighborhood. Does this return you to your childhood?. A nice capture of those beautiful chimney swifts twittering above -- a true signature of summer -- occurs at 38 seconds in, then again at 2:24. The typical hum of central air conditioning units is ever present throughout. From 2:11 to 2:27 i stop and you can hear the hum of these units getting louder. At 2:44 a dog barks in the distance. Then, at 4:16 i leave the gravel alley and start walking on the grass, the, at 5:06, up the big, concrete front steps. Recorded at 7:45pm on the evening of wednesday june 12th 2019. Thunder storm: this is a very accurate and realistic thunder storm. The great clashes of thunder can be heard accompanied buy the rumbling of the storm. Wind blowing and swooshing paints a beautiful picture. The sharp lightning strikes are very prominent. Recorded with the zoom h6, rode ntg. This is a great ambience to create the basis of an amazing soundscape.

This is a field recording from my friend walker's yard in las cruces, nm that i made on a band tour in may 2006. There is a horse running by on the road at one point and some dogs in the background, but the morning doves stand out the most and sound really beautiful at points. I took this recording from my room in a beautiful casa on the main square in santa clara. It was warm and not windy so i could keep the windows open during the storm, and eavesdrop on this little party, which seemed to warm up as the storm did. His original file contains a barking dog, which depending on your usage, can deter from the intent of your project. You will hear a general streetnoise with motorbikes/cars passing by, people talking and laughing and finally a beautiful streetmusician's flute and singing by one of his collegues. A recording made on the bank of a small stream. The prominent bird that you will hear -- especially at 30 seconds into the recording -- is a beautiful little bird called the louisiana waterthrush. I made this recording by attaching my zoom h4n to a sturdy tripod, and using the built-in internal stereo microphones on the zoom. The built-in microphones have a 90-degree and 180-degree setting. For this recording, i set the angle on 180 degrees.

This is the song of a beautiful bird called a rufous-sided towhee. A bird usually found in deep woods, or in heavy brush. I was fortunate though to both see and hear this guy as he was perched in a tree at the edge of a heavy forest. A beautiful, ancient sound of a small creek flowing in a heavy midwestern forestafter a late autumn day of rain. (recorded on sunday november 30th, 2019)this particular " scene " is the result of a 2 inch deep flow of water suddenly dropping over several medium-sized old rocks. In a few days, this flow will cease and the creek-bed will revert back to its typical, meandering , dry rocky path through the woods. Enjoy. Ambient music is often very relaxing and beautiful. The sound i offer you here may not give me a singel star, but it doesn't matter, because i think it's one of the best i have ever done. I have tested the sound on some friends, and allof them said it ought to be used by anyone who is tired, upset, worried or have minor psycho problems. So here it is enjoy. A recording of the peaceful mid-autumn woods here in the midwest usa. I recorded this on november 15 2022 using a sony pcm d-100. In the northern hemisphere now, days now are much shorter, and much colder. Which means all of our energetic summer warblers and other migrants have long gone south, and are no doubt lounging around in a palm tree or something just gorging on insects. Here is the midwest woods? sure the summer birds are gone, but, the beauty of this season is that now you can hear the birds that never leave us. No matter how brutal the winter is, the blue jays, the black-capped chickadees, the many species of woodpeckers and the belted kingfishers never leave. This creates a different, but beautiful soundscape in the woods. For this particular recording, since i've found through years of roaming the woods, birds have a tendancy to be near water, i placed the recorder on a creekbank about 15 feet from a shallow creek. Now of course i could have gotten closer to the creek but by now the entire woods is a carpet of leaves -- this very slow-moving creek included. Which means the leaves had accumulated on thevery still creek water itself and i was concerned if i stepped on the leaves--thinking it was solid ground underneath, i would instead be "treated" to an ice cold pair of shoes and socks!. Among the highlights of this recording are:00:00:00 starting off with the loud blue jays1:56 black-capped chickadees with their active musical trills3:55 the very large and very loud pileated woodpeckers8:41--8:56 then again starting at 10:05 and running through10:40 the beautiful belted kingfisher with it's staccato-likerasp. This is basically a remix of of previous recording. This field recording at frog hollow estate, daylesford, victoria, australia was after dark on a still night when the frogs went mad with joy. And why wouldn't they after 10 years of drought and now it's so wet and the pond they live in is so full with beautiful rainwater. In 15 years this is the noisiest night of croaks. Recorded on a zoom with 96k sample rate and 24 bit depth. I selected these settings to register the whole range of our frog croaks.

Outside during late winter, heard beautiful birds chirping happily. Did my best to get a quintessential bird sound that could be used along side other ambiences or for transition or establishing shots. A vigorous spring rain-shower with some beautiful, far-off thunder. This was recorded on march 27, 2021 in a campground in illinois. One of the thunder strikes is so intense that you can hear the screen door rattling!recorded using the marantz pmd661 and the beyerdynamic 8010 omnidirectional microphone. Seem like these intense rain/thunder events could be more common. By the way, the very next day after this was recorded -- while many were sopping up water in their basements -- the day broke beautifully sunny, with not a cloud in the sky. Welcome spring!.

A recording of an eastern phoebe, made near a creek in a typical midwest oak/hickory/sycamore forest. This very unique, two-note call, which you may have heard before, is, in my opinion, very beautiful despite it's short duration. Despite this bird's non-colorful plumage, his song makes up for it!. Recording made on april 10th, 2013 around 6:45 in the morning about 15 feet from a small creek. My recorder, the zoom h4n, was mounted on a tripod in the middle of the creek.
