My cat, maya, was sitting in my lap, so i brought my microphone down and hit record. She was curious about the big thing in her face and sniffed at it, resulting in this sound file.
Here is a short recording of one of my male cats (a big good boy who resembles a chartreux) licking his tummy: to be honest, one of the most annoying sounds ever (especially if you are trying to concentrate and study).

This is a variation on a guttural growl i made to depict some giant bears in power armour. I recorded myself with a zoom h1 and then fiddled with pitch shifts etc to get to this big cat noise (well, that was what i was aiming for).
A large doberman/labrador mix dog is in an excited state. She is trying to get out of the house to a cat outside. She is panting and whining and throwing herself against the glass sliding door. Recorded on a zoom h4 and edited in adobe premiere pro cc in port stephens, australia, august 2015.
