Bonfire night, 2021. Fireworks let off in an open space a bit away. Reflections from nearby domestic buildings. Beyerdynamic mc930 a-b spaced pair > rme preamps.
A fairly harsh and slightly clipped sample of foley artistry to create a heavy "shockwaving" impact. You may notice that this is the layering sound of skewer slam.
Fireworks recorded on july 4th, 2013. ~. 25 miles from launch site in a neighborhood. Recorded with tascam im2 into rode rec. Small sweetening done to augment cracks and reverb tail.
A long bomb noise. . . Sounds sort of like a nuke i guess, even has debris falling afterwards. Made by popping a little trick noisemaker by the mic and slowing it down.
My neighborhood on july 4, 2012 (independence day, us). Lots of illegal bottle rockets and mortars. Recorded from my office window (geotag map shows exact mic location!).
A few noises created by hitting the mic and its surrounding surfaces, with a big boost of bass, normalised and reverbed. Created by hjalmar for red moon roleplaying.

Another outtake from a different recording of me hitting some different objects together. This the base of a mini x-mas tree. Sounds like a church bell.
This sound was made by popping a cellophane bag and recorded using an m-audio microtrack ii. This sounds really good as a firework or an explosion sound, especially with reverb.
Field recording of a harley-davidson motorcycle starting, idling and revving; recorded at scuttlebutt's biker bar in greenfield, wisconsin, usa, using an mxl 990 on a boom.
Flicking a pop filter attached to a blue yeti pro in a way that then causes it to collide and vibrate. Recorded with adobe audition and a blue yeti pro usb microphone.
