My floureon bm 800 tends to get a loud buzz when not used for a while. . . And a good old smack literally fixes it. I did this naturally for this sound sample, but i figured it would make an interesting sound to post here. I would very much like to read how you used this sound in the comments, it's fun to see how people use my stuff. Given the cc0 license, you don't have to credit me of course, it is in the public domain after all, but i wouldn't exactly come complaining if you did!.

Not the loudest, but the humming of my microscope lamp, which is a circle-shaped fluorescent light. The humming came from the body of the microscope. I rested the mic on the body of the microscope and did noise reduction and amplified the audio.

We got wood brought to our house from our woodman, and we brought a few armloads inside because we are already building fires. In the middle of the night, the woodbin started to make a strange noise. I figured it is some sort of bark chewing insect, but i have not seen it yet.

Finally having the hard disk next to the built in mic i use has helped me. For once. My hard disk running, modified in audacity 1. 2. 6, using the decay effect. Left the lid of my top loading freezer open, you can hear the hum of the motor and also the crackle of inside the freezer. Messing around with a low or high pass filter can give a nice background white noise. Free for commercial and non commercial use as apart of a creative piece of work. Recorded with the zoom f4 and rode m5s.

Close up recording of a bee on a flower, i had the mic input level turned up to max to see if it would pick anything up, i couldn't hear it at all, and it sounds pretty good! shame about those inconsiderate people in the background. "hey i'm trying to record a bee over here!" is not really something you can get away with saying to strangers.
