Dubstep bass: 110 bpm wobble at 1/16th note, half of the samples as a sine lfo and saw lfo descending. Sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2. Random presets with lfo settings on key parts, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down.

Operating my washing machine (front loader, brand: indesit). This reflect the full circle of a washing process from turning the control knob to the typical “clack” when the machine is finished and the look is once again released. All the intermediate steps like washing, spinning and so on, are shorten in time (otherwise this would be a 50min sound clip). But you can loop all those sounds very well. Any thursday, 12:00 am more or less. I was sitting down in a bench, looking to the buildings opposite me, with the road at my back. My handy recorder zoom h4n in my hands. Some people was chatting next to a car and then they got inside and they left (you can hear that on the left channel. Got it? "left" channel :d). You can hear people passing from one channel to another, cars and motorbikes. It was in c/ bravo murillo (madrid, spain). In that part, it is a one way street for vehicles, so all of them go from right to left channel.

A 4-minute. Wav recording of an apartment parking lot in a small neighborhood with a busy nearby roadway - from a different perspective. Cars can be heard driving by, along with a faint humming with from some machinery and a small amount of wind. There is also some faint talking, laughing and coughs from a group in one of the apartment buildings, which can add to the effect. There are two instances when cars drive into the parking lot (about at 3:20 and 3:40), and shortly afterward a person walks by the mic. Recorded with the microphone of a nikon coolpix camera.

Going outside to check the mail. I go out the inner door and close it, you can hear the weather stripping dragging the floor, then go out the outer door onto the porch. I go over and check the neighbor's mail to take up to her later, then check our own, then go back into the apartment where you can hear the tv. Recorded with zoom iq7 & iphone se2020 using voice memos, then edited from the larger mp4 with goldwave on the pc.

This is a recording of autumn rain falling down and pouring through a drain pipe outside my bedroom window. It is a very pleasant sound if i may say so, and can be used for many soundscape or atmosphere oriented things. Recorded with zoom h1.

Many penguins are swimming in the water. Some of them cry. ( i don't now how i say this in a better english ). You can hear water, penguins and some other birds. I record this sound in the zoo of leipzig / germany with a zoom h2. .

A heavy thunderstorm, mid-afternoon, after a long heatwave. The third and last lightening strike was about 100 meters from the microphone. You can just about hear the click (impulse response) of air being ionized just before the thunder.

Moth-organ is a forgotten instrument. Sad, because it's amasingly useful, and a professional (which i am not)can create many interesting variations. I play only three tones, but listen, it's a cool little thing. I used the best available: hohner 'rheingold'.

When i walked down the street, a small motor-bike came along an alley, and stopped to see if it was okay to merge into the street. The bike started after confirming safety. Audio-technica at9470 and sony md recorder are the most compact set that i can choose.

A boardwalk along the river in the middle of a big city. Streets are noisy and crowded, but once you step onto the riverside boardwalk, you can enjoy calm, peaceful atmosphere. At825 and sony md walkman.

Happy accident: recorded a finger snap on a asus t100's internal laptop as a test sound, applied (heavy leveller, normalization)*10 and this came out. Sounds like a fine punch/damage sound on speakers, maybe for a 8-bit game.
