The cast-iron gate at my door is very old and it will give out some queaking sound when being opened/shut.

By removing clicks and pops, then blending a noise-reduced track with the one just cleaned of the clicks and pops, good results can be achieved. In act i of leading ladies, the moose lodge members call out "awhoo". I recorded the cast making the call, which was then used during the performance. Recorded with a zoom h2.

I accidentally made this in audacity adjusting the tempo of a chime sound effect, but maybe it has uses elsewhere. Sounds to me like a game show "wrong answer" sound effect or a magic spell that fails to cast.

This thought rarely assembles in my brain, but it's even rarer for it to work out. The sound is free but i do not recommend saying the words. It was a remark cast back over my shoulder, and sounds like it. Someone will probably have fun with this one.

For the 2021 production of christmas carol i wanted to add some special effects. To create a ghostly voices saying ebenezer scrooge i recorded 10 different cast members, then i used audacity to add a little reverb and filter the voice using the frequency transform of a recording of wind. Then i played the voices while the wind was blowing.

The bronze temple bell of the byodo-in temple in the valley of the temples cemetery just outside kaneohe, hawaii. The bell was cast in japan and had been installed in a free standing bell tower, as is customary in japan, and can be rung by anyone who passes by. This is from a fan audio recording of the 1967 doctor who episode "tomb of the cybermen". The sound is now in the public domain.
