Field-recording from inside a fokker 50 passenger turboprop aircraft during the taxi and then spin up of the propellers during takeoff and climb to cruise. Some light voices in background.

Once july hits in the midwest and the temperature and humidity climbs, the insects take over the sound symphony. An entire country mansion was covered over with scaffold and sheeting to keep the rain off. Visitors were allowed to climb up the (many) metal stairs to an observation platform. I asked the helpful guide to be quiet whilst i recorded this odd environment! he obliged. Zoom h1 recorder.

Allright - today i visited the zoo in leipzig, especially the godwanaland (more information here: http://www. Zoo-leipzig. De/en/theme-worlds/gondwanaland/)its a dome where a tropical rainforest is emulated. Really great climate there - warm and moist. There are some wooden structures to climb up in the trees. There i recorded this little atmosphere. Unfortunately there are also some human voices on the record but well - it's also a part of the atmosphere. Best wishespillo.

Recorded from the window of my attic flat in walkley bank, sheffield. This is the moment of new year's day 2021. You can hear a small amount of children in the background and one child suddenly shouting "happy new year" and scaring the bejesus out of me at about 3 minutes. I change position at 1 minute 30 (pretty much climbing entirely out of the window) and you get a much more impressive surround sound feel after that. There's also a huge explosion right at the end that is definitely worth waiting for.

2016-06-01clear creek metro parkrockbridge, ohio. In late spring 2016, seventeen-year cicadas emerged in a section of the united states that includes eastern ohio. The cicadas crawl out of the ground, shed their skins, and climb up into the trees. One cicada makes a loud and distinctive sound, but a whole group of them creates a dull roar. This recording was made on the cemetery ridge trail at clear creek metro park in rockbridge, ohio. I was standing some distance from the cicada sounds, trying to capture the pervasive roar from a distance. Sound recorded using the built-in mic on an iphone 5.

Starts with descent into the métro station and ends climbing up the steps back out at the destination.
