Really simple patch. Cv from nlc sloth to quantizer (doepfer a-156), via attenuverter. Triggers from doepfer a-160(161). But a tone is only generated if there is a change in cv from sloth. Its not 100% generative :-) first there is no cv connected to the oscillators. I connect them one at a time. The noise is also controlled by the same sloth. The analog delay is connected to barton musical circuits (bmc) 4 quadrant multiplier and panner acting as a panner, controlled by nlc jerk off (still a sick name on a great module). The ehh drum sound is generated by bmc decaying analog noise.

It's fun to patch up a kind of analog shift register (3 stages). Doepfer a-160 controls the stages. On a-160 i use /2, /4 and /8. I sample slewed noise. No quantizer.

In this patch i’m using doepfer a-160 clock divider as a sub bas generator. Square wave out from doepfer a-110 to trig in on a-160. I guess a square wave makes it easier for a-160? /4, in this patch, out to uvcf. The sawtooth from a-110 to another nice filter - the wasp filter. The transient modules 8s sequencer gives us an 8 note sequence. A copy of the sawtooth melody is going to an analog delay stomp box from joyo and back to the synth. 5 quantussy cells controlling 2 oscillators, 1 wave folder, 1 filter and 1 drum module (bmc analog drum). Even the pitch of the drum is controlled by one of the quantussy cells. The drum sound to fed to the feedback in on doepfer a-199 spring reverb.

Created with a doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer sequenced by a korg sq-1 processed by a zoom multistomp ms-70cdr guitar multi-fx pedal, using the particle and hd reverb. Audio source is a self-resonating, modulated doepfer a-108 vcf8. The reverbs ran in series. The manual states that the particle reverb is based on the line6 m9 particle verb. Korg monotribe processed by a doepfer a-100. (bbd and a-199 spring reverb)the clock source is semi-randomized by an lfo and korg sq-1. Recorded with a zoom h-5 and transcoded with ocenaudio.

These samples come from a gakken sx-150, a small analogue synthesizer kit that was released in japan 2008 as part of the gakken hobby magazine series. The synth became very popular also outside of japan, mainly because it's a low-cost analogue synth with a great sound that offers lots of possibilities for circuit benders.

Sounds from barton musical circuits dual logic going though doepfer a-101-1 vactrol vcf. Dual logic is modulated by bartons 2lfosh, via bastl-instruments tromsø. The vfc is also modulated by 2lfosh. The other sound is from alm pip slope in loop mode and modulated by a nonlinearcircuits single jerkoff, with an injection of cv from 2lfosh.

Started with me playing with doepfer a-146-2 as gate delay. Went on using it as a wave shaper. Went on and on. . . It's not a very big patch. But the outcome is nice. It's a mix of chaos and random. Yes i'm using jerk off and sloth. Analog modular synth fun.

An lfo set to 1hz connected to doepfer a-160 clock divider and hexinverter électronique jupiter storm "cv all". Before recording i reset the clock divider. Low tone triggered by /2middle tone by /16highest tone triggered by upiter storm output xi. I can't reset jupiter storm. Ok, what do we hear/see. Low tone every 2 secondmiddle tone every 16 secondhigh tone every 19 second!.

Some raw one-shots from my doepfer a-100 modular synthesizer recorded and edited using ni maschine. In my ears they sound way better with a bit of compression, but i thought the unprocessed files would be more useful. Naming is super vague. Recorded back in may 2014. 2hp osc is fm modulating bermuda (using fm in). Pitch cv to osc is controlled by sloth and attenuverter. The bermuda tri output singnal is shaped by doepfer vactrol vcf. The vcf is modulated by sloth (cv in 1) and jerkoff (cv in 2). The noise it from dan, going to polivioks vcf. Polivoks is modulated by sloth. Output from vcf is going to vca controlled by another sloth.

Basic sound using reason 10. Modular. Edited and rendered in reaper. Loaded into morphagene. Output (left) into erbeverb to create stereo. This fed into dual lpg from buchla (thomas white eurorack version) voltage controlled by random wogglebug trigger into tempi and maths envelop and thence into mimeoophone and into mixer as stereo. Other stereo from morphagene direct through mixer to element 24 to re-edit and render in reaper. Mixer doepfer a-138bp (dual 4 track version). Please excuse the clicks - caused by the analog handling and slight clipping (i´ll do better next time, i promise :).

In this patch i use bastl instruments tromsø as comparator, sample and hold and oscillator (3 in 1). The cv is coming from nonlinearcircuits jerk off. The audio out from tromsø goes through nonlinearcircuits timbre!. Some delay from an analog delay pedal and reverb from doepfer spring reverb. One voice exploring a chaotic cv source. I sold one of my tromsøs a while ago. Will i regret that? psssst take a closer look at the wave form! the wave folder is doing its work!.

Straight playback into reaper. 32bit 48khz rendering. Totally synthetic with no prerecording.
