Floor 4 lift doors opening spoken field recording elevator open i recorded this for a radio project. I needed spoken voice saying doors opening. It took ages to do this. But was worth it.

Recording of a door being opened and closed, and then opened and closed again. Very slight footsteps (on carpet) can be heard. The microphone (sennheiser mkh-50) was intentionally placed about 5 feet away from the door so as to capture some of the natural room sound/reverb (which is very subtle). I have another recording available of the exact same door and mic setup, but aimed slightly off-axis to capture just a bit more room sound. Recorded into a tascam 208i audio interface and into adobe audition. Very minor processing (low-cut at 80hz to remove low-freq rumble).

I recorded the sound of my wooden, squeaky screen door opening and then bouncing shut with a couple bangs. You can hear the squeak of the hinges as the door is opened, then again as it starts to close. The stretching and retraction of the spring is slightly noticeable. The door bounces a couple times as it closes, and you can also hear the latch rattling at this time. Recorded with audacity on my computer using a cheap, hand-held piezo mic. (i recorded this for use in a theatrical play i was working on [ daddy's dyin'. . . Who's got the will? ] because i couldn't find anything suitable elsewhere. ).

I opened the woodstove door while recording with a zoom h1 n. So the first thing you hear is the door opening, and then the latch falling down. The fire had just been lit. It is starting to ignite the douglas fir wood slowly but surely, and you can hear the kindling crackling.

The sound of putting a cup into the microwave, closing the door, programming it for 1min 30 sec, heating water, beeping to finished, opening the door, taking out the cup and putting it on the counter.

A bunch of sounds recorded from a car, sounds include door closes, key turns, engine starts and brake shifts.

(edit of other recording, with eq, reverb etc. ) recorded inside of an abandoned building next to a boarded-up, old wooden exit door. Has a nice, subtle low hum, which is actually from a plane flying overhead. Also contains knocking sounds, which is most likely the door being a bit loose. Would be awesome for horror atmospheres. Button pressed on the inside of a lift. The lift sets in motion for a short amount of time. Announcement says "4th floor" and doors open to an empty foyer. Door close automatically, button pressed and lift moves back to 3rd floor. Recorded on a tascam dr-01 in stereo at 16bit 48khz wav.
