The sound of a small dog (specifically, a miniature poodle) crunching and munching on cheese crackers with a good sound. This could be used for alien sounds, or any kind of munching. Or you know, if you have the need for a small dog eating crackers, go for it.

A female human eating crunchy snacks. Specifically, hollow cheese crackers. These made a good crunching sound. First, you can hear an open mouth crunching, then a closed-mouth munching.

Recorded with an small olympus recorder set on the ground next to an open package of crackers. This medium-large dog has a long mouth (like a echoing cave) and all her teeth, which makes for some hearty crunching sounds. Recorded on a small olympus device, set next to an open sleeve of stale saltines. You can hear her in the plastic packaging grabbing mouthfuls and chewing the crackers all up. She dips into the sleeve of crackers 3 or 4 times in this recording and smacks her chops after eating it all. Sorry about her collar chiming as dog's tags tend to, i just had to record that big mouthed crunch. I've removed the loud plastic rustling sounds, to focus more on the crunching sounds as she munches on snack crackers. Great for dog food or puppy chow commercials or for a film of a beast eating at charred crispy remains. A mouse eating a piece of prawn cracker from the chinese restaurant! this was the soundtrack to a 26-second film clip of a little black pet mouse having a treat. Some ambient noise, birdsong may be heard in the background - hopefully not too much. Had to grab the moment while i could!.

A long recording on board the "green car" of the jr tokkaido line from atami to shinagawa. A "green car" refers to the first class cars on some long distance local trains. The ride is smoother and the cars are generally much quieter. The cars are generally empty but, this was at the end of a 3 day weekend, so the car was actually quite active (i'll try to get a quiet one soon). You can hear the ticket attendant, the conductor's announcements, station arrivals and departures, passengers getting on and off the train and settling in and having conversations. At some point you can hear the guy behind me eating senbei (a crunchy japanese rice cracker) - that's a little annoying, but there might be some usable bits in there if you're good at editing backgrounds. But like i said, i'll try to get a less busy train next time. Recorded with 2 stereo mic pairs and unedited.
