Quiet (though slightly amplified in audacity) sounds of digestion after a meal. Mostly bubbling, a few groans here and there. Recorded with a google pixel xl, as its bottom-facing (mono) microphone is perfect for this. No noise reduction.

Clear recording from a conference hall where a meal was being served to a crowd of about 80 people. Jumbled voices, the tink of plates and utensils. No kitchen noises and the room is carpeted, so much clearer than a regular restaurant situation.

My cousin who owns & manages a mexican restaurant is cleaning up the kitchen while i'm taking my first meal break after a busy day of helping her with customers. You can hear the radio playing in the background too.

The sound of mexico. A tortilla machine can be heared in every village prior lunchtime. The machine creates flat tortillas out of nixtamalized corn meal which are then baked using gas within the same machine. The metal conveyor causes most of the sound. This meal of pasta with tomato sauce sounded fleshy, so i decided to record it. Sometimes you can hear the wooden spoon hit the pan. In the end, i even drop some of the past imitating a squish and a splash. Recorded using a phone and a lapel microphone.

Mid morning bird song from the 50+ house sparrows that use our side garden to eat from the feeders, perch on the hedges and generally don't go too far away before coming back for another meal. The recent garden birdwatch survey has been published which shows sparrow numbers have increased but are still down from where they were when i was a lad. I'm 72 so that's a long time ago!.
