Was up late last night and needed to make a foley for a radio tuning for a movie project thats coming up. So i thought i try and make my own. I just took my alarm clock radio and played with the am tuner and got some pleasing results. In the beginning it tunes in into various stations while coming towards the end its very errie with static and a wobbly tone. Feel free to use this for your own project. Use any part of this recording that pleases you and have fun! and feel free to share what you made with it!.

This is the sound of a 98cc sachs engine of a 1938 light motorbike. It is one of the bikes in my private collection. The sounds reflect the fuel cock switching, flooding of the carburettor, sucking of the cylinder and two tries to bring the engine to life. The sound in between is the clutch lever. The engine is started by pedaling the bike on its stand. Main engine run features idle to half throttle open. The engine is eventually stopped by using the decompression lever which you can hear at the end. This is a true recording of the actual item.

I placed about 200 small brass ball-bearings (2mm diameter)on to a "half-life analogy apparatus" (which i have access to but i've never see the like using a google search. Basically its a titled wooden box with holes. The ball bearings roll down some of which fall through the holes and are collected in a beaker. The remainder are collected at the end of chute. Anyway, i just like the sound and hope someone can make use of it !i used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

A plastic water pipe in the forest with a hole on top, sending a 2 meter high jet of water into the air. The water came pouring back down onto the plastic pipe. Recorded in stereo 24 bit 96 khz with the internal mics on a sony m10 with windjammer. Please use this sound for whatever you want, completely free, no restrictions. Although i really appreciate a comment if you use my sound for something interesting. Always fun to hear where my recordings end up :).

This is a recording straight off my phone, so sorry for the terrible quality and the rustling. The speaker in the car was acting up and played some sort of choppy cut of what i believe to be rocket man, since that’s what started playing when the bluetooth got back into range. At the end of the recording you can hear my dad getting back into the car. Use all you’d like, but i do like to hear about where you did use it so i can look it up myself.

The ambiance of the famous strasbourg christmas market, known as one of the oldest in the world (first edition took place in 1570) and the city's biggest touristic event, gathering thousands of people downtown for one month at the end of every year. I took my zoom h2n in different places, capturing a slightly different mood each time. Expect lots of crowd sounds, background music, street atmosphere and. . . A lot of different languages (french, german, spanish, english. . . . All recordings made in ms stereo mode (120° setting).

Created by hainbach aka stefan paul goetsch, formatted for use in the make noise soundhack morphagene. "i call it noir, since it is has a vibe of film noir to it. I made this with scoring for picture or theatre in mind, recording piano, percussion, synths on a telefunken m15 and nagra iii and playing that back on half speed. All music is harmonically related, so it should not grind too much when switching apruptly. I left some space for new splices in the end, as i feel that makes it more playable. ". Https://www. Listening to nightingales & other sleepy birds in the evening. . . You can hear my baby rook taki squak at the very end, cause he was getting restless & wanted to go home to sleep for the night. You can hear nightingales, warblers and thrushes all around. This was recorded using my crappy, old mp3 player in the countryside of henfield, near brighton, england, on the 31st of may 2010. I often play it & other recordings i made around there for my birds in the evening, as a kind of nature lullaby. ^-^.

This is a quick minecraft note block loop (drums only) that i made in multitrack daw mobile (i don't know how i did it in that app, it's so hard to use) with original sounds from the game. And in case you want to know it's 105 bpm. I'll work on more note block tracks soon. Also sorry it's not a perfect loop you will have to take off some space on the end of the clip for it to be perfectly continuous. The app is very hard to use so i couldn't cut it just right.

Making a happy occasion piano freestyle with the bright of bells. In my search, i was playing one and by mistake played the other together in the freesound page, it rhymed, so i did this. The piano is unmodified, the jangles had cuts of pieces, invert, volume envelope, and paulstretch (which makes the whoooosh, sidereal moments). ** all credit to >> symphoid <<, author of the original sounds here combined. The new and improved ultra-soft noise v2 is here!. This has been optimized for itunes and other audio players. The file includes full tags and album art - 320kbps mp3. Simply log in and slam that download button. Free to download and distribute!. Created completely from end-to-end with open-source software. The audio has been updated to higher quality:3x the noise of the previous version, but with a slightly softer tone to increase effectiveness. Over 100 separate streams of noise was generated to create this. (v1 used 21 streams in 44khz/24-bit in a v0 mp3)the entire project was created, mixed, and mastered in 96khz/32-bit float. This file is limited to 1 hour because the use of a larger bit-rate and the amount of noise used. Helps with many sound pollution problems and audio-stimulus problems such as: sleep, concentration, tinnitus, headaches, and so much more!. This is the end of a song (just the last crash and the last guitar note). It was recorded inside a medium size room where we were playing. This sound was produced by my friends and i, so it does not belong to any commercial recording. This sound is original content. Este sonido es el final de una canción (el crash de la batería y una nota sostenida por la guitarra). This one is overdone by experimenting with too many vst filters. . . ^-(. . . Urban ambience with local residents talking, some moderate, yet constant traffic, a plane at the end and featuring the sound of love. Includes people talking in the background, some distant cars, a church bell, one or two planes about to land, people opening and closing the back door. As special appearance, there is someone having a joyful time (or -less probable- screaming of pain repeatedly) throughout the whole lenght of the recording. Recorded in stereo on march, 11th 2018 at 09:00 pm.

Vocal, speaking, and audio snippets of interviews of visual artists that i did as part of a collaborative music project in 2018. The idea was to chop up and use these samples for a trance / punk form of music - which we jokingly called prance music. I used some, but never released any music with it in the end. Maybe one day i will, but in the meantime - i hope you can find some use of these.

Rode nt4 -> maudio delta1010lt, capturing a lightning strike that made the walls of my house shake, and forced me to turn off my computer. The lightning occured ~167 meters away from the microphone, calculated from the time lapse between the initial dc spike and the start of audible strike. Clipped quite a bit, had the input slightly too high, but did not expect one to hit so close. A picture hanging on my wall shook violently when this one hit. This was captured at the end of session on 5_28_2006, same night as http://freesound. Iua. Upf. Edu/samplesviewsingle. Php?id=19283.

Recorded in fryers forest in country victoria, australia. I placed a my mics on the end of a jetty facing across the small "lake" towards a house where we had our new year's eve celebrations. It was a small gathering of around a dozen people, there was no countdown, in fact midnight crept up on us! in the far distance you can hear fireworks in castlemaine a small town about 15 km away. Recorded with and ms setup using a sennheiser 416 and a sennheiser mkh 30 into my zoom h4n.

I accidentally recorded this sequence when i left my camcorder on while filming some drawing tutorials. My warehouse style studio is in the inner city at street level opening onto a street closure/park so you will hear some faint bird tweeting in the background. Near the beginning and end there is the sound of a large industrial sliding door and the loud clanging is a drop bolt on an external metal security grill gate. Wind blown chimes add to the scene. I only applied a very low level audio clean-up using adobe soundbooth cs3 to reduce hiss.

Clattering about in the kitchen drawer to get spoons out. Getting a bowl out. Shaking a carton of soup up, ripping the top off and pouring it into a bowl. Tapping the carton to get the rest out and then throwing it into the pedal bin. Opening the microwave door, putting the bowl of soup in, tapping out the numbers and then turning the microwave on. Beeps at 1:50 to signal the end then open the door again. Natural kitchen ambience. Wav 24bit 44. 1khz.

My childhood piano, an old german upright. Recorded using a studio projects b3 condenser mic through a presonus tubepre into an akai mpc1000. Mic'd from the top with the lid up, closer to the bass end. The piano is old and slightly out of tune, with a crack in the soundboard. The only processing was with analogx autotune to tune the samples, which did a very good job. Sampled 3 notes per octave so each sample only needs to be tuned + or - a semitone to span the whole range. It is a dark and moody sounding, a lot of character but in now way "pristine".

Recorded on mid-summer (that looked like mid-autumn) day 2010 in vilnius with a simple olympus voice recorder. I placed an old piece of metal sheet on a broken glass fish tank near a garage wall to catch the drops, recorder was placed in the middle of the sheet. The rain was very light and fine, later it intensified and became lighter again - all this is heard in the recording. Unfortunately three recorder beeps are heard at the end signaling that it was running out of memory. I later decided to leave them in as it quite unexpectedly added some drama to the whole record. . .

Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. In the meanwhile these samples might be useful for some sound design. One more thing. It's always nice to hear back from you. What projects did you use these sounds for?please let me know. ;-).

This jump scare sound was created by playing 2 dissonant chords on a single coil telecaster mic'd up w/ a vox ac 10 amp. The two guitar tracks are panned left and right- reverb and delay are added. The delay tail you can hear oscillates between left and right speaker as it fades. Additionally, frequency enhancers were added between 4khz - 6khz which adds a higher tonal energy in the upper range of the guitar. Gain is added which can be heard as signal noise mostly at the end of the clip. Enjoy. Bainmack.

I wanted to find a good creative commons 0 sound effect of fingernails scratching on a wooden surface but i could find the exact thing i was looking for. So i recorded myself scratching my bedroom door with my fingernails using a recording app on my phone and edited it in audacity to remove breathing sounds, and to make the sound feel more heavy/deep, including some very faint reverb. Since i really wanted this i thought it might be useful for someone else! i hope someone else out there like me finds this somewhat useful. Theres a bit of a clicking noise at the end - i think from the recording process.

This song is about a buddhist who returns to the monastery, where he was abbot centuries before (in a previous life). While walking along the path with torches, the memories come to the surface. First, it is difficult to see it without understanding it. After a while he can let it come to him, without exercising control. As a result, he learns the life lessons that he was not yet ready for. Through the light at the end of the path he experiences what enlightenment is:"dare to expose everything without judgment and learn from it to become more loving instead of always needing control".

Tokyo outdoor night ambience. This is a recording of the shinagawa area of tokyo after 1:00 am. Crickets can be heard chirping in the distance, as can cars on a usually busy road. The trainstation is closed, but there is still some activity that can be heard as well as wind and other night ambient sounds. Recording was made on the 6th floor of a highrise apartment behind shinagawa station. 2 mics placed at a 120 degree angle were used. No filtering was used. The only editing done was removal of the beginning and end of this clip.

This was an attempt at the ice speed record by a rocket powered snow machine called the arctic arrow. The old record was 247 mph. On this run he goes 241mph but at the finish line he loses control and crashes quite dramatically! the driver, kurt anderson walked away. I have photos of the crash as well if interested. This clip is nsfw due to some language at the end, but it really took our breaths away as he was careening thru the snow on frozen bear lake in manawa wisconsin. Enjoy!.

The beautiful sounds of office life. This is audible interference from a cheap ballast in a florescent light fixture--or several in close proximity. (it's probably violating fcc regulations with rf output too. ) this was recorded with an iphone builtin mic, then processed to isolate the sound. It's a beeping / humming at around 3,800 hz. Each beep lasts about 1 second, followed by a half-second of silence before the next beep. Toward the end of this recording, it shifts slightly upward in pitch, to around 4,000 hz. Some typing on a keyboard can be heard in the foreground. (it's an office, after all. ).

4ch surround recording of the intersection of the opernring and kärntener straße in vienna/austria. The recording was conducted close range at street level directly at the intersection by a tram line, the rear mics, featured in this file, are pointing onto the sidewalk, away from the street, at a right angle. The close range affords very detailed reproduction of vehicle and tire noises, as well as the tram driving by the mics at the end of the recording. Recording conducted with a zoom h2. These are the rear channels, mics set to 120° dispersion.

Sounds of a 15-year-old dog with laryngal paralysis chewing on a rawhide bone in her crate. (very sad to me as lela is a beloved family member and near the end of her life, but maybe someone can put all this suffering and racket to good use. ) at about the 01:17 mm:ss mark, things get louder because i leaned the recorder up against her crate, near her face. Prior to that the mic was about 5' away, on my kitchen table. I apologize for any unexpected clangs. I didn't edit this file, just uploaded it. Good luck. I'd say "enjoy" but these sounds are pretty gross. :).

Stage four 09. 600 ms. Then the engine shuts down starting at 12. 000 ms. To change "gears" set position to the stage start then play. To "run" in each stage loop from start time +. 144 to stage end time(next stage start time) -. 083. You may have to figit the numbers. I haven't actually tested any of this. I don't really program any more. But, in theory it should work.

Potable hoover (vacuum as known in the states) powered-on. Portable vacuum cleaner turned on. Short sample which can be looped. Two samples are included, the first is about 30cm away from the microphone and the second is a close-up to the microphone. I would advice using the end of the audio file to apply noise removal however have left this upload of the sound unedited so you can tweak this yourself to find what fits your project best. Noise removal may not be necessary at all depending on how you incorporate the sound. Also to be fair, how do you add noise removal to what is essentially glorified white noise?.

Long recording of an intense new england thunderstorm, recorded through an open window with a portable minidisc recorder and attached sony condenser microphone. The first ~18:45 is relatively quieter (and cleaner), though there are several good thunder rolls at ~1:20, 4:00, and 14:10. After 18:45 the storm picks up and the recording is correspondingly louder, and the storm goes a bit crazy -- there are many very loud thunder rolls, though unfortunately there is also some clipping and distortion. From 24:00 through the end of the recording, the storm winds down and the recording level is just right to pick up a number of very clean but loud thunder rolls, with some nice stereo separation.

This was a recording taken on a small train riding around the louisville zoo in kentucky, usa. I took this towards the end of the tour, and was on the back of the train so you can hear the announcer quite clearly directing us. Sorry if there’s some talking in the background, i was siting next to my aunt’s little foster child at the time and he was enjoying himself quite a bit. You can hear the train rumble against the tracks and slowly slow down, as well as some chatter of the riders and passerby. Used this myself in my song bossa nova- https://soundcloud. * the music is a backing track, intended for practice, exploring the lydian tonality. The backing track runs through each of twelve tonal centers, starting with d lydian and moving down a fifth every two measures (counterclockwise through the cycle of fifths), ending with a lydian. * the audio consists of a single pass through the 12 tonalities, but the files are optimized for looping and should transition smoothly from end to beginning, given the appropriate looping software or hardware. * i enjoyed making this track and found it useful for practicing various ideas, such as running scales in different positions, directions, and intervallic combinations, superimposing triad and tetrad shapes, voicings, inversions, and lines. And just jamming out and improvising freeform.

Stems in order: kick, snare, shaker, transition, unlayered loop and the original sound that i made the unlayered loop from (some motor sound that i recorded). =========================================for anyone that might wanna recreate the unlayered loop, i made it using eq, some valhalla delay preset called magenta, gross beat plugin (chaos 4/drum loop), a plugin called "pancz" by oversampled (add punch & flavour preset), gross beat again (complex 10/drum loop) and little bit of bitcrush using fx(effector fx module). This is from a fan audio recording of the 1967 doctor who episode "tomb of the cybermen". The sound is now in the public domain. In 1967, these cybermen were voiced by peter hawkins using a vocoder or an electro-larynx, a device used to restore speech to those whose vocal cords are damaged by detecting vibrations of the throat. At the very end of part 2 of "tomb of the cybermen", the cyberman controller is awakened and says "you belong to us, you shall be like us!" to the cast.

Rode nt4 mic with a rycote wind muff on (slight attenuation of the higher frequencies is noticeable to my ears) sitting on a chair under an awning on my porch. I hit record slightly too late to catch the first couple of bell rings, but got most of it. First we hear the church signal 8pm, then we hear the courthouse do the same thing. Also some wind in the trees right above the mic, some rain, a bit of thunder, and some cars in a small town. Also a huge truck with loud engine that sounds almost like thunder towards the end, in fact it was mixed with thunder at one moment. Captured with maudio delta1010lt soundcard.

A slinky spring toy stretched out and plucked once from the end, recorded with a zeppelin design labs cortado impedance-matched piezo contact microphone. The resulting recording is a classic spring-based sci-fi "laser sound" with a massive, lengthy, rumbling decay tail. This was recorded at 24 bit 96 khz. In addition to its use as a sound effect, this waveform works well inside a convolution reverb as an offbeat spring reverb impulse response, provided one has the processor power and ram to support a 2 minute 13 second convolution. The cortado's bass response is exceptionally large for a contact mic, so high pass filtering may be desired if used as an impulse response.

Sometimes i regret being so stubborn, only using analog modules in my modular. How easy it should have been creating cool rhythms for the drums with a digitalclock generator or having a nice wave table oscillator etc. . . . Today, i admit, i once again was looking at a digital clockgenerator. How would care!?same sequence as in electronic minute no 105, but slower. And i have added someeasy modular analog. . . . Drums and a bonus sound. Play with it. In the end the drums are alone!the wav-file is raw! no editing at all. Yes i should record via my h1. . . But it'sso easy to use the mic in on my laptop.
