A three note bass line with noise. Principle notes are c, d#, f#. This means it doesn't easily fit in a major or minor key, but it would work in something largely in c minor or f# minor. This sample has a tale that fades out.

3rd in chromatic order. I recorded 16 notes from a music box. I waited for the motor to loose juice then i wound it forward manually so i could record each separate note chromatically. There are two octaves plus one note. Begins with d and climbs up the scale ending with e.

Five is four: a polyrhythmic analog-synth loop with ambiguous five or four time signature. Slightly frantic sounding, arpeggiator-like rising pattern a bit like a shepard tone, it's a 5/4 pattern, but accents are distributed in 4/4. 180 bpm, key is a-minor (a-minor then f-major). Two loops marked in wav file, first is the bare synth pattern, loop is samples 0 to 640,000; second is with a pad, loop is samples 960,000 to 1,600,000.

Arpeggios in bm key : bm, am5b, g, f#7. Played on acoustic nylon guitar. Melancholic / sad feeling, the second chord has a dissonant flat dominant to give a hint of strangeness to the phrase. Sound capture using internal guitar electronics (godin multiac grand concert duet). Recording device is a tascam gt-r1. Initial sound was stereo with left and light sides 180 degrees out of phase. I converted to mono using audacity. Recorded on the 12-dec-2015 in houston, texas.

Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Kinda makes me feel floaty. It's a 64 bar loop with 8 bars of drone after. Key: f#tempo: 120 bpm. Let me know if it's good, or if you all want more. Should be cool to see what you all do with it. 9-note ending riff. 1 of 8 samples under 5 seconds from my acoustic guitar recording of a civil war fife and drum song named frog in the well, which i learned from an 1862 instructional manual. The instrument was a 1928 gibson l3. There are no effects. Key is (in order of best fit) d major, f# minor, e minor, g major, a blues. Time signature is 3/4, but these samples are mainly under a bar so can be used in a 4/4 song. You also use either of these licenses for your remix: creative commons attribution-sharealike, creative commons attribution-noncommercial. The home of this song on the web is soupgreens. Com/froginthewell. That has the full source song in mp3 format and short clips (40 seconds, 30 seconds, and 20 seconds) for use in video cues. There is also sheet music and guitar tab there.
