It's nearly impossible to find sound effects of someone handling an instrument and not playing it. . . At least it was until i uploaded this!. This was an acoustic guitar, but can be pitched up or down for similar smaller or bigger instruments. There's rubbing, knocking, and gliding fingers over the strings. No need to credit me. I do this all the time on accordion (press a few random buttons) to get the bellows closed (while practicing); much faster than with the air button.
