A sound composed from bunching wet paper towels smacked against the floor and a wet bottle of liquid being sloshed mixed together to create an impact sound. Creates a horrible sensation of flesh impacted by a powerful shockwave. A bottle with liquid being sloshed around gently can provide the needed element of a subdued liquid sound - taking away the need to filter it with low pass filters (but it can help boost other frequencies).

Not sure how to describe it, so i'll just describe how i made it. . Micro sampled something in g minor, added tons and tons of lfos to filter modulation, with more filters, and eq and utility, and tons of effect plugins like vinyl, lofi2, saturaters, yeah yeah. . All that stuff.

These are a series of gunshots that are supposed to resemble a laser sort of weapon, like an alien weapon. To make this, i used a filter that has a vocoder, polyvox, and talkbox, with distortion added. The initial sound i'm making is a chirping with my mouth and the filter does the rest. I think this works well on its own but it should work well mixed in with another sound effect if you choose to mix it. There is no reverb added or environment effects so its very flexible. The reason for the roll off below 15hz is to remove energy that doesn't produce any sound. It just moves the speaker cone and wastes amplifier power, thus it was rolled off.

A bass made with one oscillator and drums from yamaha qy-10. Mixed in a noisy mixer. The qy-10 is also acting as sequencer. The bass sound is made on my modular. 101% analog. Including reverb and delay. Yep, now i have got a midi to cv module.

Credits to kendog88 for the base sound. I found their sound while searching for reaper-like sound effects on here, and the sound they made resembled that of the mass effect reaper, so i decided to overlay some distortion and put a wave filter over the sound, to give it a vibrating feel. Enjoy.

These sci-fi synth sweeps were created by manipulating white noise with filter sweeps and other effects and then using noise reduction to remove the underlying white noise. You would need to pick through them and cut them up, but they can be useful for sound designing light graphic elements that move around and animate on and off.

I recorded the acoustic guitar with audacity, then added the fx with reaper. It is named 5pm because that was the time when i recorded it. In reaper i made 3 tracks of the same recording and added different fx to each one:track 1 contained reverb and flange with adjusted tempo. Track 2 contained a pitch delay doubler. Track 3 contained a resonant lowpass filter - low quality.

Using the remove hum tool on izotope rx2, i took out filtered out the hum that occurs in the 190-220 hz range. I believe any eq could filter that hum out at that range without affecting the bass in the footsteps. I believe the footsteps are in the 50-60 hz range anyway.

For the 2021 production of christmas carol i wanted to add some special effects. To create a ghostly voices saying ebenezer scrooge i recorded 10 different cast members, then i used audacity to add a little reverb and filter the voice using the frequency transform of a recording of wind.
