Recorded just after the clock struck midnight, signaling the beginning of 2023 in greenville, south carolina with a tascam dr-05 stereo recorder. Very nice clear recording with basically zero unwanted noises except for an occasional light water drip. Audio edited to perfection by me. ;) did some light eq, compression, limiting, and stereo balancing, as well as removing some of the constant ambient white noise hiss. This is a recording i took in my back yard on the 4th of july 2014. There are the sounds of crickets as neighborhood fireworks being set off faintly in the background sounding almost like a war zone. The house is off a busy street, so there is also some traffic sounds. Neighborhood dogs bark at the fireworks faintly in the background.

These are the new year fireworks of 2015, recorded from telliskivi street, tallinn, estonia between 23:55 on the year 2014 and 00:10 on the year 2015. Recorded with 2x cad m179 microphones mounted on a home made jecklin disc and olympus ls-100 recorder. Note the happy train driver tooting into new year on 05:52. Thanks for @andre-louis for borrowing his microphones, since mine were occupied at the studio recording other stuff.

One explosion sound i created using wavepad sound editor, adobe audition 3 and my high quality microphone. Sounds used to get this explosion, in case you want to replicate it;. -kicked rocks (recorded by me)-throwing rocks from a distance (recorded by me)-edited and stretched beer hiss (recorded by me)-edited chambagne pop sound (recorded by me)-rocket hiss (replica by me). Applied effects;. Mastering (in adobe audition 3), increased "exciter" up to 11. 5%. High-pass filter (in adobe audition 3). Stretch (in adobe audition 3), in "high precision" mode. Reverb (in wavepad sound editor pro). The sound sounds very common, because most people use this method. In case you want to use it, please give me credits.

A compilation made from a longer recording taken in my backyard on the 4th of july 2021. There are lots of pops and booms of neighborhood fireworks. I strung together what sounded like the best and got rid of longer periods of inactivity or other distracting noises. Enjoy!.

This was all recorded in enumclaw, wa on july 4th, 2013. I used a yamaha pocketrak recorder throughout the day and into evening when the fireworks started. There's an old piano outside the music store and i just caught the end of a young guy playing some nice music. I then just walked down the street recording the sounds. You can hear me talking to a guy who's working for a local politician. The b-25 mitchell bomber flyover was totally unexpected and i was lucky to have had the recorder going. It made two passes right over me and i love the sounds of those engines. It was a great day. Please comment on what you will use it for. Thanks. :^).

All surface to air fireworks are illegal but, due to covid-19 cabin fever, people just didn't care this year. This recording is almost 99% voice free. There was a couple on a balcony that are barely heard muttering something in just a minute or two of this recording. For the most part, it's clean. I kept the peaks very low to maintain a natural sound. All of my sounds recordings are provided free of all charges. A hollow sounding explosion, could be used for a metallic hit or slightly muted bang.

Here is a recording done during the fireworks of san juan at the beachof barcelona, spain. I was standing in front of the mapfre building, between the building and the sea to be exact. Fireworks were being launched behind me from the beach and their sound was reflected off of the building in front of me. The effect you hear are thereflections of the building. The building is shaped to visually reflect the city back onto the beach. Hence each floor has mirrors in a 45 angle downwards, all around the building (look it up on google for details). The sound must be coming from different points each located further away, creating a kind of discrete doppler effect, i suppose, although i am not yet 100% sure what exactly causes this. I am holding the microphone sideways, so you hear the explosions on your right ear and the reflection traveling to the left. In reality, you hear the explosion behind you and the reflection traveling up along the building. If you are ever in barcelona end of june during "san juan", you should check this out!. This is a long recording taken in the backyard of my neighborhood on july 4, 2021. There are lots of distant (and a few closer) booms and explosion sounds. Kind of sounds like a war going on! in this longer recording a plane also flies overhead, and someone drives down the street.

Lots of nighttime traffic and in the first two minutes, several loud vehicles pass and you hear three loud reports of distant fireworks followed by distant barking. There's about three more minutes of traffic and then the noise dies down to neighborhood hum in the last 45 seconds.

Recorded on a canon d550 camera. I live near a water tower built into a hill and firework displays cause a strange echo as the shock wave passes through. Listen to the first burst of bangs and there is a faint sound of "gravel falling into water". I suppose the frequency of the explosion is reverberating in the air gap in the water tower. There is a second burst of fireworks which are far away. Traffic from the a3 road is audible.

Recorded in fryers forest in country victoria, australia. I placed a my mics on the end of a jetty facing across the small "lake" towards a house where we had our new year's eve celebrations. It was a small gathering of around a dozen people, there was no countdown, in fact midnight crept up on us! in the far distance you can hear fireworks in castlemaine a small town about 15 km away. Recorded with and ms setup using a sennheiser 416 and a sennheiser mkh 30 into my zoom h4n.

I was out recording some sounds late one evening, and i randomly heard this, which i can assume is a gunshot. Not much processing was done to this sound, except some noise removal and pitch shift.
