I recorded this gate in ashton court, bristol. I recorded it for a surround sound eco-soundscape composition however i felt the need to share as it was probably one of the best sounds i captured. The long hollow poles the gate is attached to creates a spooky reverb that sounds like its coming from the ground itself. Please feel free to use this wherever you need.

I was synthesizing a snare drum in fl_studio using multiple synth layers, effects and automation trying to create a really short and snappy snare and set the loop length really short by mistake and when i hit play to audition my sound i thought it resembled machine gun fire. This was recorded with a trustin portable rechargeable 8gb dictaphone. The recorder was held about 7" away for the louder scrapes and drops and no more than 3" away with the softer scraping sounds. Some normalization was used to drop the peaks. The tiles were in the small hall of an apartment, facing an open door. The hall was approximately 3 feet wide and 8 feet long. I made this instrumental music in two versions, with and without drums. This is with drums. I did it in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I made a bass-line on a doublebass that i played around with. Like the fact that it's groovy and a bit dark. Added a drumbeat i made that i think suited the bass-line. I created this 64 bar loop in bitwig using a sample loop that comes free with the software, next i used a multiband fx plugin with automation controlling amounts and cutoff's which then in turn had various effects on the seperate bands and as you can clearly hear i used the glitch2 vst mostly on the mid frequencies, which in turn had automation controlling/changing it's presets.
