Here's a sound i recorded in my front yard when it was raining. There's vehicles passing by. Recorded with the mic on zoom h4n, couldn't find my wind screen so i covered it with a shirt.

A bobcat type of front loader (like a small bulldozer, not the wild animal) moving sections of tree across a yard to dump them in the metal bed of a truck.

Two dogs are barking in my front yard, with the longest-barking one being a 3-years-old fox terrier chihuahua mix with whom i have an attachment to but who isn't my dog. You can also hear crickets chirping in the background. I used my lenovo laptop's built-in microphone to record this (the same device i had used to record the alarm clock sound & the restaurant-cleanup field recording).

The eerily quiet soundscape of a small midwestern town during the covid-19 shutdown. . . This was recorded in town, on a friday night (april 3rd, 2020) at a time when there is almost always more traffic, people and families walking and talking on the sidewalks. . This recording started at 11pm at night. . . What a strange, weird eerie feeling of this track. You will hear a lot of steady wind gusts, dry leaves being moved around by the strong southerly flow. . Equipment: sony pcm-m10 recorder sitting on a small tripod about 3 inches from the ground. . . I had to really crank up the gain on this one because everything was so quiet---almost as if the neighborhood was holding its breath. . . . Hope you enjoy this unique ambiance.

Afternoon traffic ambiance hum on the street - field-recording taken from the yard/balcony in front of my door, in the distance you can hear the warning buzz from the tram and later its starting off from the tram stop nearby. Tram continues then to go from left to right channel, accompanied by some random people noise from the yard. Brno city center, czech republic, central europe. Recorded by huawei prime phone, which unfortunately makes some noise filtering itself. Recording date: 11. 04. 2019.

A soundwalk around my house with my brother. I start the walk in my house, and then i go to my front yard to investigate my dog's barking. I then walk on the fake grass in my lawn and narrate the sounds i hear from the road. Finally, my brother and i go through my side gate, where my brother and i walk on rocks. At first, the cars pass through in front of the school. And then, the people were talking around and pass by us when we went through the school-yard. We walked up the stairs and pass through the playground, we heard children playing basketball. We heard the balls hit the ground and the children screaming and shouting. Beside that, there was a sound of repairing near the terrace. At the end, we arrived canteen and we heard the students talking.

It's recess time at san lorenzo de el escorial's real colegio alfonso xii's boarding school, madrid, spain. Children are playing games, mainly soccer, on escorial monastery's front esplanade, apparently used as a schoolyard. High pitched voices blend with bypasser's conversations. Putting aside the fact that we're on a world heritage site, this could also be your regular park where youngsters gather any afternoon. Recorded with a sony pcm-d50'stereo mics with wind muff.

Field recording of the ocean surf at the outer banks, nc. Recorded approximately ten yards from the surf line on a zoom hand held recorder mounted under a beach umbrella. Record mode was 4 mic, using front and rear stereo mic pairs summed to stereo mix. Front (90 degree) mics facing ocean, (east). Rear (120 degree) mics facing the dunes, (west). Was a somewhat large surf day with shoulder to overhead sets. Enjoy ;)!.

This is about 2 minutes total. It is of an approaching long freight train passing about 100 yards away in it's entirety. Train was doing around 45 mph. There are no other background sounds, no traffic, no crossing alarms, no street noise, no airplanes, no people, etc. There are three diesel electric locomotives in the front, then about a mile of freight cars, then one diesel electric locomotive "pushing" from the rear (it almost sounds like a jet engine!). Recorded alongside the tracks in open west texas desert! recorded using a panasonic dvx200 with a rode shotgun mic & deadcat. Audio extracted from the video file.
