This is my first sample - hope to give back the energy to you all for some downloaded samples from freesound. Recorded in the swiss alps in spring. This was a huge tunnel under a glacier and i had my dat and to omnis with me.
Needed sustained ice movement in a video, so i lenghtened a bit of a real ice recording with ableton live's granulator ii with some random moving about to make it kinda realistic.
A group of skiers riotously descend a slope in the don sheldon amphitheater of denali national park. Sounds of their skis scraping the snow and laughter ring out over the mountainous glacial environment.
A sound to go along with the idea of a glacier depressing earth's crust. Created by slowing down pieces of the following sounds:http://www. Freesound. Moderately flowing stream - jack creek in central oregon's cascade mountains flows out of the ground at the base of three fingered jack mountain. The water comes from a glacier on the mountain a couple of miles from where multiple springs create the large creek bubbling up from the dry ground. This recording was done several hundred feet downstream where the creek was already about 50 wide and only about a foot deep. Here's a picture taken just upstream from the sound location, near where the creek flows from the ground. Https://drive. Google. Com/file/d/0b0qp0_ocueigt1bxchjflw4touk/view?usp=sharing.
