Took a ride on a historic steam engine in the lake district (england). This was recorded from inside the carriage while in transit. Some background talking but a lot of good mechanical clunking type sounds. .
Metal safe deposit box lock and chain various. This sounds offmic to me, probably because i confused recording from front or back on my h2- and yet i don't hear my own breathing. Anyway it's still good for anything but a cu.
Sorry for my voice. . . I record this sound inside my flat at 5. 45 am during the strong wind in trieste called bora. My window is not very good and you can feel the hiss. . 44. 100 16 bit with zoom h2.
Mix-up of various sounds to create the ambiance of a nuclear implosion. Good for using in spacial environments. This one is the low frequency version. Both of them can be played simultaneously to variate the effect.
A short layer of rhythmic clanging created as a scary atmosphere in a chase scene. Used a roland groovebox with the self-sampling utility directly to wav. I've found this method results in good sounding recordings, but reduced high frequencies. Sorry, don't know the bpm.
Restaurant sounds. My iphone left sitting on my table for 1:31 in a family restaurant in st. Petersburg florida usa the evening of june 7, 2012. My egg plant was very good, thank you. Lol.
I needed this for a film i made but i couldnt find it on this site so i made it using audacity. This is supposed to sound like a police man yelling through a megaphone.
Bizarre This is a piece that was constructed as a demo for piano loops that I had released at one time. It is still one of the more popular pieces I have, but the quality is such that I can't license it in good conscience. :-) Source: Kevin MacLeod - Kevin MacLeod
Unclassifiable This is apparently a practice session I did back in 2006, it contains a lot of motives that were later expounded on and released. There are some good moments that will probably stand alone, but certainly not the entire 15 minute piece. Source: Kevin MacLe - Kevin MacLeod
I used audacity with an internal mic to record this. Its good quality though. i just dialed some numbers on my house phone with the dialtone at the beginning. Its very clear there might be some background noise though.
A thunderstorm outside my house in nashville. Recorded on at2020-usb microphone, from various angles. Includes a brief couple seconds where i talk (just before the audio spikes). You'll probably not want that in your mix.
Beard trimmer shaver handheld and cutting beard. Also good for an electrical buzz, fast vibration. Nice clean 24bit 48khz. Wavplease comment if you use and if you like let us know how you are using the sound.
Sawing wood: using a small saw to saw up wood. There is a bit of metal rattling as the wood is being sawed. Recorded with a zoom h6 (rode ntg-2). Recorded in a room with good acoustic. Can be used when someone is sawing wood.
132 bpm in c minorjust simple chords in a quick patch i made in sylenth1. Cant imagine what anybody will do with this but might as well just leave it here for the good people of freesound. :d.
--made in ableton live--. Crackling sounds made with ableton bit crush. Might be good to add that vinyl sound to a lo-fi track. If this sound interests you, please comment or message me if you want more like it!. Thanks for reading!.
An old squeaky manual water pump in my village at one of two cemetries. My gradnfather and my great-grandmother are lying here. I like this place. Its very calm and peaceful. I combine some good childhood memories with this place.
Sound from the basement while contractors did demolition on the bathroom upstairs. Lots of hammering and debris of all sizes falling on the ground, include some good thuds. Recorded on a tascam-dr-40 and cleaned up in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.
It's hard to find a good doppler scream and harder to make the effect in sound editing systems. Here's a few falling scream varieties. Just toy with the pitch and you make a variety of plummeting people. Recorded at home on a phone recorder.
Sci-fi warning sound effect that was created using the free and open-source software zynaddsubfx, you can use the sound however you like, change the pitch of the sound effect to suite your needs, good for video games.
A choir singing "so long judas, good old judas". Edit: i see a lot of people are enjoying this sound! if you'd like to donate a dollar or two towards my personal starving artist fund here is a donation link: https://www. Paypal. Me/baharv89.
This is one of the soundtrack cues that i completed for a psychological thriller, short. . . . . The director cut all music but liked it- it is a good piece for background to smooth out visual and dialogue for a darker genre.

Recording of the rehearsal of the local gamelan orchestra of a small mountain village in bali. This was not a concert for tourists, more like a rehearsal party. They played, laughed and had fun all night long. Recorded with my smartphone, so the quality isn“t too good. . .
Horse grazing in pen. Metal fence tinging in the wind. A bit of extraneous wind noise here and there, but largely clean enough to eq out the rough stuff. Summer farm ambiance. A couple of good snorts at the end.
I was searching for good door sounds, but i couldn't find any, so i recorded myself opening my door. Recorded with samsung galaxy s7 edge, and cleaned up in audacity. I think the result came out nicely :)i hope you can use it.
Some foley of a small bonfire that i lit on the beach. Would be good for a campfire or other general burning scene. Recorded using a rode videomic go into a zoom h1 recorder. Free to use for any projects, no credit required.
Recorded this for a animation im currently working on and thought that this turned out pretty good. Feel free to use anyway you like. If you use it for any projects videos, animations, etc. Please add a link to it! very curious on how you use this sound. :).
Impulse response of a 60s tube spring reverb unit, fisher k-10 in stereo at 96khz. It is very versatile it looks good on drums, guitars, percussions, synthesizers and vocals, in addition to the beautiful spring sound in stereo.
An intense mystery & horror themed song for to be used in any project. It's pretty amateur but if it's any good to you than feel free to use & edit it. If you are planning to use it i would really aprreciate credits <3.
Taped a pair of jrf c-series contact mics on a small, very quiet wristwatch to see if i could get a good signal. Pleasantly surprised by the result. Removed the quartz hum and de-noised in rx 7.
This is a solo acoustic slide guitar noodling round with a country-ish melody. I've added some splices here and there to make it easier to navigate. Quite good fun to modulate the position and gene size to create some eerie rhythmical effects. Have fun!.
Confirmation beep and ping sound, made for scanning applications. Created using audacity and tone generation/manipulation. I make other sfx and short musical compositions for games/apps, i release all sounds here under creative commons no restrictions to do as you wish with, so check out my other sounds.
This sound has many different dog type swallows chews and gulping. I was trying to this for my mobile app game. Listen to it you may find what you need. The quality is ok and some are really bad. Good luck!.
A large gas weed-torch being lit. Includes the clicking of the starter and one false-start then a few seconds of burning. Would make a good flame-thrower sound. Recorded: august 2014, with android voice recorder (mono), outdoors/backyard in the afternoon.
Just a purring cat, recorded with a zoom h6 with the x/y mic. It starts out a little soft and then gets more bass heavy as the cat approaches the mic. Unfortunately there is some audible cloth movement, but i guess it could still be of good use.
A quirky weird song of dead people singing about flowers. Maybe good for a musical about zombies? ha! i did all the singing voices and also i created the music with my yamaha keyboard. Mixed it on my roland vs-840.
Took a ride on a historic steam engine in the lake district (england). This was recorded from inside the carriage while in transit. Some background talking but a lot of good mechanical clunking type sounds.
Car applying breaks at high speed. 11 sounds. Good for car sounds, comedy videos, or cartoons. No credit needed, feel free to use it for whatever you want. If you can make a million bucks off it, awesome!.
Here is a sound that i produced in audacity by generating a tone and making the frequency very low. It sounds rather like a humming of a machine or electrical appliance! good for looping and such. Enjoy !.
Ascending to the second floor in my grandmother's barn. Assortment of thumps and squeaks, including a horribly loud, squeaky pulley and a pedal-operated flywheel thing, and some good footsteps going up and down a wooden staircase. Recorded on a sony pcm-d50.
This is my local pizzeria in los angeles. Mostly youthful people having a good time. This evening, the restaurant had tables with armenians, americans and latinos. A nice variety of dialects and conversations. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.
A simple sound of an egg shell cracking. It was actually made by taking an index card and smashing it twice between my palms, putting them together, mixing and editing in audacity. Not very super realistic, but sounds good if it's flying and hits something.
Playing with a bike pump. Recorded wide-stereo, 24-bit in an echoey bathroom. The files has been edited to the best parts. Some degree of headphone bleed is audible in the recording. This makes a pretty good whale sound if you stretch it 500-1000 percent.
Low and calm heartbeat sounding very electronic. Perfect for backgrounds, filling and effects. Pay attention: the sound is very low frequency, you'll not hear it unless you wear good quality headphones or speakers. Also make sure your equalization configurations let low frequencies get through.
A medium sized crowd sings the star spangled banner, then cheers and applauds. Didn't record the whole song unfortunately, but i got the good parts. Recorded in chicago with a sony pcm-d50.
A busy cafe around breakfast time. We hear a variety of voices speaking indistinctly, mixed with the clatter of plates and silverware. Good for background audio/ambient noise.
A pencil writing on some cardboard. Makes a good scratching sound for something like note taking or plain writing. It's semi-erratic with a couple pauses in between and i took different distances from the mic and angles with the pencil to try and get different sounds.
